Royston’s whole squad when they were in div 1 were clearly prem players

Can I correct you there, only Craig Hammond was

They all were and have proved it by playing that level. Hammond was better than SSML full stop.

Granted Royston had a decent team in Division 1 but I doubt they would have been promoted in 2008/2009 without Craig Hammond

It wouldn't surprise me if Craig is back at Garden Walk, Prodigal Son style, for the 2013/2014 campaign

You seem to know alot about Perry and Kit and all the goings on at the club WB for someone in nth London.

Maybe you're closer to home than you want to let on

Just a long time spent involved at the club and local football as are a good number of family and friends I try and stay up to date. Moved away from Winslow 2001 to London lived in Buckingham 2008-2010 sort of as I was away working the majority. Now living in borough of Harringey as many could testify. Unfortunately no cloak and daggers here just reasonable knowledge and a lot of passion for my old home town club and as i say family on te committee and friends on committee and family and friends who play have played coach or have coached a lot in SSML. Was there anything in particular you were driving at? Something tells me for a 1st post there may be an ulterior motive here.....

Not at all WB, just curious as to how you knew so much and you answered me respectfuly and comprehensively. Thanks.

Yes my first post and I am linked with a club but cant say who now for fear of saying the wrong thing and getting me or my club into trouble. Sad state of affairs if you cant have feedom of speech on a public forum. If individuals or organisations want to challenge things said fair enough but the league should stay out of it. Can of worms. CB definitely being made a scapegoat.

Back to the thread I know Perry and Kit very well and have been speaking to them both throughout this difficult time so if you want to know anything and i can help or feel its right to pass on info PM me anytime mate. Youve been pretty much spot on with your posts only to say Kit was probably the first to realise he couldnt get the players in needed for Div 1 and broughtnit to the clubs attention. A pretty dignified way of doing it.

By the way I am not fat or called Albert .

Hahahahaha quality. It was nothing personal my anger at Kits appointment my reasons I think I have made clear, I've heard he's an excellent coach and hope he can stay in that capacity. I know of Perry through others and he was clearly the top choice and his interview from what I heard showed as much not even taking into account what he has done as a manger and the contacts he has. My primary concern is always for the club and never one individual. I look forward to Perrys reign and hope the late start won't make things to difficult. Guys like Kit young (older than me) enthusiastic a typical "club man" and as I have heard a good coach are always needed at clubs like ours but I knew this particular role wasn't right and I think perhaps he did too pretty quickly. First and foremost at any level but especially ours a manager must be able to bring in players. No doubt we probably know each other. Another intelligent, well meaning and passionate poster is great so hopefully you stick around, but just don't hurt anyone's feelings or else lol. Would live to hear any inside gossip as it can take a while to reach me here I still haven't got the low down on last night. Do you think Perry will do well knowing him? And do you think Kit will stay as part of tw new set up? I sincerely hope so the lads tartare there really like him as a guy and say he runs a good session and they'd like him to stay on in a coaching role.

Yes you are bang on he did go about it the right way others may have buried their head in the sand and ended up leaving us high and dry. Takes a big man to do that I have a lot of respect for that and I would thank him for it.

Nice to meet you mate "literally ' speaking haha I dont think we know each other Im not originally from the area ive workred with Kit and Perry is a mate and I dont think he would mind me saying that Kit is staying on in a coaching role so both can see how and if it works. Will Perry be succesful? Hard to saybbut it wont be for want of trying and doing things themright way. Difficult as he hasnt managed recently and out of the loop a bit with senior players but he is a larger than life character and has so many contacts with other managers and coaches he will pull things together. He managed years ago in Milton Keynes so knows what it takes at this level, my only concern is he gets frustrated and doesnt see it through. He gets frustrated with most things and tells you about it. Should be a laugh on the touchline he is a funny funny bloke but deadly serious about his football. Be there For Mercer v Joyce in the first friendly. Comedy gold.

Yeah you too. I'll try and make some games but difficult for me. I believe he has said this will be his last job and wants to give it a good few years so hopefully when he decides enough is enough we will be in a strong position and maybe he can pass the reigns to Kit at that point as working close with Perry he will hopefully build his contacts. I hope Perry brings in some of those guys from his very successful Newport Pagnell youth side they must all be 20-21 know and more than capable of SSML div 1. He sought out the job and was confident and had some great ideas and plans moving forward so it seems he is hungry for it. Also an ex Winslow player which is always good in my book. Glad to hear Kit staying on with Gary Flynn also there who I would hope will be getting in some of his New Bradwell team from few years ago I would say that's an excellent management team.

I think you will find that Kit Bamber won't stay at Elmfields Gate as just a bog standard Coach as he must feel that he has been undermined by what has happened, you can't blame him can you particularly after the way he was treated at Buckingham Town.

So he is staying as coach Rhodes old buddy, anything to say about that?
