Winslow United on the hunt for new 1st team manager

Recommended Posts

Winslow Boy - It would appear that the Club don't share your own personal view as the Website states they 'are very pleased to announce, after a lot of interest from some very accomplished applicants, the appointment of Kit Bamber as our new first team manager.

We believe Kit is the ideal candidate to help us continue the growth of our club:

Seems like in they end they did. Ah being not only in the loop but also knowing what I'm talking about its hard for you to understand but maybe a pint and a chat after a game somewhere this year you can sit listen and learn from the master. Lol.

well done to the committee at Winslow for having the balls to admit their error & making a change before it was too late.

Steve - It was an error in the sense that Kit Bamber was too high profile for Winslow United, a bit like Steve Newing and Del Deanus were at Welwyn Garden City

Worst attempt at getting a bite ever. Lol. Very funny though.

I think you will find that Kit Bamber won't stay at Elmfields Gate as just a bog standard Coach as he must feel that he has been undermined by what has happened, you can't blame him can you particularly after the way he was treated at Buckingham Town.

Hmmm that's interesting because I've heard tw exact opposite. Do you know why? Because I am in the loop. You never answered my questions on your knowledge of Kit..... So how are you coming to this conclusion. Perhaps he was part of the meeting and maybe it was he who suggested that he would like to stay on as a coach. Fancy a bet on it? Double or quits. He was I agree poorly treated by Buckingham Town. So anything else you want to say that I can call you on? Actually I'd love you to come and play poker with me thurs nights

Many of div 1 teams have players that can play higher level that's what you need to reach those levels. Coulter and Taylor at Amothill last year to name just two of there players who are at least prem if not SL standard players. Royston's whole squad when they were in div 1 were clearly prem players. Hoddy div 1 but I think they will have a very good crack at title this year. Ampthill are a good club with a lovely ground, they are building a good structure with youth and they have two excellent senior sides I think they will finish top 8 and I expect them to have some good cup runs and win some silver wear. I hope they have an excellent season and continue their rapid progress. We hopefully will start to make some now and that will include trying to get players capable of playing the level above certainly.
