Winslow United on the hunt for new 1st team manager

WB, cheer up!! It seems he was very well regarded at his last club if that link is anything to go by!!

 

Here is what one disgruntled fan had to say:-

 

A real shame the Management decided to take this route with regards to Kit and just shows how narrow minded and misled some may be.

Perhaps with more support from the Management Kit would not have found himself in a 50/50 position.

 

I hope for the sake of BTFC that the Management understand just how much Kit did for this club.

 

He took over the 1st team at short notice, brought in a ressy Manager and coach, booked training sessions, took training sessions, handled the money, washed the kit, organised and put on the quiz night, taxied players to and from matches and managed the team on and off the field.

 

And not even a thankyou at the presentation night.

 

Players are fuming, and Kit has been treated in a shoddy manner to say the least (probably still at A&E having knives removed from his back)

 

The Management have got big boots to fill on this one."

 

I hope you will give him the benefit of the doubt WB and support your club. If you're bottom at Xmas, fine, but stay positive mate.

Thing is Jonno it's results that matter, not knocking the work he done but I expect BTFC expected a better league position than they got, but then as WB said, his track record on the field wasn't exactly littered with success.

Appreciate the pep talk Jonno, Ive been involved at the club as a supporter, player and supporter 25 years so my support for the club is in no question I think. It's not just his appointment but the fact there were not only better choices but truly excellent choices who showed a real desire to manage the club and who would no question have delivered success. I know I sound like a broken record and as I have said before I hope i'm proved wrong. But when people of the standing and experience step down from the club over this that speaks volumes.

And living in London expressing my views on a forum that was designed for that is hardly "cloak and daggers" is it? 25 years associated and as a player who when the team has struggled has come back from work as far a field as Hungary has played a number of times the day after getting out of hospital, has played on injuries till he can't walk, has organised events to raise thousands for tw club but I'm sure you have done much more than all of that.

Yep dear god! Makes the appointment look EVEN worse. Dear oh dear oh dear going to be a dreadful season that will prob end up with relegation. The league should never have put Tik Tok in div 1 over us and that opinion has been proved right and now our committee (use that loosely two of the more knowledgeable and experiences members didn't get a vote and others not on committee did including one bloke who is on committee of another club got a vote! You couldn't make it up) have compounded that with a poor appointment that inevitably will set us back further.

Would think I've played at all but being based where I am I would think only ones like Cockfosters I may go and watch. However I won't be actively involved like others I can't back the choice and therefore will be very much watching and waiting from afar. I worried for our results this year in div2 let alone div1. Grumble grumble grumble. Might change my name to Victor Meldrew lol
