Hardly surprising, given the weather, even at a good draining pitch like Cobham's.

Do you know when a decision will be made, Chris?

As soon as Tony can get hold of Shaun Scott, the referee.

Whitelaw has circulated a memo to all clubs relating to postponements tomorrow.

Far be it for me to steal his thunder, but maybe he could post it on here.

This is thememo sent to all clubs this morning. Hopefully it's just common sense!

MATCHES SATURDAY 28 APRIL 2012

Ref: AC23

To All Club Secretaries (copied to other club officers and members of the Management Committee for information)

Matches Saturday 28 April

All clubs (and referees) are requested to do their absolute best to get their matches played on Saturday 28 April.

If, however, the conditions are such that any particular match cannot be played AND IS POSTPONED BY THE MATCH REFEREE the following will apply (unless any instructions to the contrary are received from the Football Association).

1. Any postponed matches will need to be played in midweek next week.

2. Ideally, any postponed matches must be re-arranged for Sunday, Monday or Tuesday, which will then leave Wednesday and Thursday as stand by dates.

3. Where any match is postponed, the two clubs are asked to consult and agree upon the new date and advise me sometime on Saturday ideally by email or fax, although a message can be left on my mobile number 07956 930719. Please also check with your match officials that they are available on the re-arranged date and let both Stuart and Phill know the situation.

4. If I don’t hear from the home club by Sunday, I will re-schedule the match for TUESDAY or WEDNESDAY evening, according to the home club’s normal midweek day.

5. All matches will be given a back up day of THURSDAY.

If there are any individual circumstances, that make the above difficult to comply with, please contact me so that we can discuss the situation.

IT IS THE LEAGUE’S INTENTION THAT ALL MATCHES WILL BE PLAYED.

Report from Meadowbank at mid-day today.

Tomorrow doubtful. If any more rain, then highly improbable.

Weather is fine and dry here, rain is forecast for later tomorrow but fingers crossed it will wait until after the game. We are hoping for a huge crowd and a party

GUERNSEY FC officials are hoping that the island’s sports fans get behind the Green Lions for the final game of the season this Saturday and break the Footes Lane attendance record.

Following the game against Spelthorne Sports this weekend the team will be presented with the Combined Counties League Division One trophy having won the league at their match against Bedfont Sports in March. In this inaugural season, the club has won all but three of its 33 league games so far and scored an impressive 136 league goals and conceded only 22.

‘Saturday will be the culmination of a whirlwind journey through the Combined Counties League Division One,’ said GFC chairman Steve Dewsnip. ‘To see the lads being presented with the trophy will be something really special for the club and fans and we want them to “pack the Lane” again and give them a great send off ahead of our first cup final appearance against Colliers Wood United in the EL Records Premier Challenge Cup Final at Farnborough FC on Friday 4 May.’

The directors are hoping for a real party atmosphere and hope to improve on the club’s current attendance record of 2,143.

‘We are delighted that Randalls have offered to set up a Breda beer tent that will be run purely for charity. Fans will be able to have a pint the hour before kick-off, during half-time and after the game to help celebrate us winning the league.’

Randalls’ head brewer, Matt Polli, is looking forward to partying with the team and toasting their success this season.

‘Guernsey FC has really struck a chord with locals this year and we wanted to join in the celebrations so have decided to offer Breda, our locally-brewed lager, at a special one-off price for GFC fans. All the proceeds on Saturday will be going to Hope for Guernsey and Guernsey Specials.’

The directors are encouraging fans to come down, watch the game and stay on to celebrate, they have also organised for an inflatable five-aside pitch to be present for those fans itching to show off their skills. The club asks that fans get to the game early to ensure they can park or to catch the bus to Footes Lane. Anyone not using their season tickets who would like to offer them to the club for resale can email: info@guernseyfc.com.

Supporters can buy ground standing tickets online at www.guernseyfc.com at £4 each (£1 for under 16s) and a small number of remaining seats will be available from the club's ticket office at Footes Lane priced at £5 from 1.30pm on Saturday. Most importantly, all tickets originally purchased for the cancelled fixture against Spelthorne Sports on 17 December remain valid for this Saturday.
