We don't get paid at Croydon but a mid week game 1hr 20mins from Croydon when most of are players still have to go further after that having a drink in the bar isn't always an option and we don't hold against teams who come to our ground. Some of us have to get up for work

no-one knows for sure what all the clubs are paying there players, and as someone said earlier its no-one elses business, and what amount constitutes a big budget anyway? at this level of football its still hard to be succesful even if youve got money to spend because players wont sit on the bench for you at this level so theres only so many players you could attract to your club anyway,Its frustrating when you look at my club(Epsom) and see players like Kyle Hough(Horley)and Dale Marvell,Paul Borg and Alex Rodrigues (all Egham) all moving on and doing well at other clubs, but then again its probably frustrating for a team like Bookham to see Mark Jarman,Nathan Ayling and Alex McGregor all doing well at Epsom so its all swings and roundabouts you either get on with it,or start going shopping with er indoors instead,I know what I'd rather do

But Dessie, Borg, Marvell and Rodrigues are getting paid more at Egham than when they were at Epsom.

Jarman, Ayling and McGregor are getting paid more at E&E than when they were at Bookham. I believe Hough moved to Horley as he reloacted to that area ........ ;) !

As you know so much about money, how come you aren't Chancellor of the Exchequer? You would be perfect to resolve the financial mess this country is in.

Dessie, that is one of the best posts I have seen on here for a while.

Why thankyou Windsor Ed for your kind words,I did actually apply to become the Chancellar of the exchecker, but they didnt give me the job as I couldn't spell it,my post was actually sticking up for the top sides(like Windsor)who supposedly pay there players more money than most,It is a little bit frustrating when the top sides say they dont pay a lot of money when we all know they do,(its not hard to work it out)then again so what if they do,its up to that individual football club to pay what they like(as long as they dont over do it and get themselves into trouble) I think with only 1 promotion place available the top sides are being forced to spend more money than they probably would like in order to get out of the league, the biggest problem this league has is the fact that only 1 team gets to go up,will this ever change?I doubt it

Thats my point NG,they might be getting more money but so what if they are,I know for a fact that P Borg and Alex Rodrigues both live a lot closer to Egham than Epsom & Ewell so maybe money wasn't the reason for them to move on,Dale Marvell is a mate of John Hamshers so again that might be a reason for his move and not the money, and Kyle Hough,as you've already said lives in Horley,as for the Bookham lads who are playing at Epsom who knows what there on but it doesn't take an expert to work out Bookham pay peanuts(if anything) and Epsom must pay a little bit by looking at some of the players that they've had over the last 3 or 4 seasons, dont presume that every player plays for a club based on what he will be paid although I will admit there's probably a lot that do

NG broken record always the same thing massive budget, failed season Keith Scott underachieving by not winning the league. Yes we have had In the chairmans words recently in the local press a good budget but to say we should of walked the league does a disservice to the other teams in the league!! Another point historically teams who have reformed have gone on to achieve promotions in their fist seasons but some of these were ex league clubs with a lot larger fan base than ours so the budget would of been a lot larger than what ours currently is also that is a presumption of course but do you hold all reformed clubs in such low regard? All we as fans want is a club to support we are not interested how much we pay, we just want to be competitive anything else is a bonus!! I for one am not disappointed we did not win the league because I had no club to watch it was taken. So change the tune nobody cares what u think about Windsor ur only happy when you we fail but we haven't whatever you think to the contrary this season has been a success!!!

Hurruh !!! At long last, thats all I've asked for, but its taken all season for Windsor to admit that they have a good budget (I would say an excellent budget personally) as confirmed by their Chairman. All the comments/posts that Windsor have little or no budget, players have returned and are playing for their beloved Windsor shirt and not getting paid eh Mr. Chennells, at the beginning of the season has now been put to rest and I too rest my case.

Really don't know why Windsor hid behind their tinted glasses all season trying to deny the obvious, fair play to the Windsor chairman.... all this transparency eh ;) !

But I still say that a seasons players/mansgement budget of near on, maybe more than the £65,000.00 I would not call that success to win nothing. The winners here are the players and management and the supporters watch and help fill their pockets. I would have expected the team to get promotion with that kind of budget, which would serve you very well in the Rymans/Southern League as I am sure Scott is well aware of. Thats a lot of money to win nothing, not even a so called ''small'' cup.

Maybe if Windsors budget is increased for next season, they should stand a good chance of being Champions ;) !G

Good Luck to Windsor for next season, it could be very interesting.......I hope  !.

Has anyone from Windsor ever said that there was no budget? No. So go do one!

Tutt, Tutt , touched a nerve now that I have proved a point ! I expect you to protect your club but please not with rose tinted glasses. I didn't say Windsor didn't have a budget to contrary my dear man. If you wish to look them up, many posts by Windsor forumrites stated that they had near on to nothing budget, and ex-players like O'Toole returned playing for little or nothing 'cos they love the club, this is really what started my claim. Added that Chennells returned to play for the love of Windsor without being paid when he could be playing Ryman/Southern League Prem and Conference....... please !

Having been a joumalist, once you do your homework then its difficult to let go until someone comes clean which fair play to your Chairman has finally done at the end of the season, really confirming what I have been saying all season.

A season budget of + £65,000 to win nothing mmmnnn................get over it Windsor Sec.

Anyway, with an increased budget next season, I would think Windsor will be there or thereabouts to be champions.

Enjoy the summer break....... :P !!!
