Enfield Town vs Leiston Photos

I am normally very positive in evry thought I have, but, I'm gonna have a moan here And that is why are we so slow to embrace a good team performance which should have seen us win by 3-4 goals against the current league leaders albeit going through their worse result sequence of the season?? We lost to Harlow drew with Abbey and the moans from supporters were counteractive in suporting our boy's?? In my view it puts to shame the knowlege of the 'critical' nature of footy fans who doubted we'd even finish 2nd. What you find in football is the loud criticle supporters are the one's with least knowledge of the game.RANT OVER.

On the game itself, we dominated the game in my view, Leiston had a game plan which was pants and ill thought, the only reason they were level on 90mins was for some luck and our finishing when the opportunities came our way.

Leiston came out quickly in the first 15mins and one player who stood up to the task amongst others was Dan Barber who in my opinion put in his best performance of his short Town career, including the run down the left and pulling the ball back to Bryan H to shoot at goal which the keeper saved, from that moment on it was all Town.

A great crowd, the support today was terrific and the performance likewise. The Dome definately played to the usage we crave for.

As for the pictures above, I recommend viewing them and point out firstly, how many faces can Liam pull when playing?? Noel's interaction with a couple of older Leiston Fan's, the facial pictures of some of our very well known fan's as Gunz goes in at the back post chance in the first half and Neil Johnston would be arrested if he tried what he did to Liam after the penalty on the streets. Great pic's and some very comical shots.

Roll on to Grays with all to gain and Leiston on 1w 3L in their last 4 games anything can happen, If I was Adam Lee and was taking Potters Bar to Leiston I'd be using the game to find out if we can match the champions elect and find out about the players they have in their mix when big games come around. Potters Bar can score goals and out of sporting pride would imagine would'nt want to finish the season with a defeat. Pressures on Leiston, do they have the bottle 3 loss's in the last 4 tell me they are not enjoying the pressure and are fragile.

When all we seem to hear about is poor refereeing decisions from the lofty heights of the Premier League, I do think we should be giving praise where praise is due.

We didn't need a 'strong' referee yesterday or one that would not 'be afraid to make the right decisions'. What we needed was someone who would just get on and do his job and that's what we got.

A guy who seemed to be enjoying the occasion, make decisions when they needed making, deal with issues and, most importantly, communicate with the players.

Well done to the third team out there yesterday.
