Father and Son. A First?

I'm fairly sure that Roger Steer and his son Matt played together in the Godalming & Guildford side (as it was then) when they were in the CCL.

What a great gesture it would be if Croydon started the game against Farnham on Saturday. With not only a Father and Son playing, but an Uncle Dean Davenport, and a nephew Danny Davenport all in the same side. Now that would be a first surely. Both John and Dean have done a Sterling job at Croydon F.C. so how nice would it be in future years, to look back at the pictures.Sure the Players would not mind one bit,as they are a great bunch of lads too.Not forgetting NO MELTS of course.MEMORIES ARE MADE OF THIS.DO IT PLEASE.EVEN IF IT WILL MAKE AN OLD FELLA HAPPY,THATS ME OF COURSE!!!!!!

This happened to Ashford back in the 90's. Our keeper Paul Burgess was injured playing away at Peppard on 11 March 1995 and was replaced by his father George, who had also been a noted keeper in his time, at half-time, when the score was 1-0 to Ashford. George let a goal in but we managed to win 2-1. Weeble will remember this match as he played in it - didn't score though.

I don't recall spence! It has been a while & I only remember faces who score against me!

Cheers HTFC, ps. How's Tom Windsor getting on down Horley? Is he playing much?

Yes he plays all the time alongside me, yes he is doing well.

He is an honest no nonsense centre half.

Glad to hear as last year he ruined his knee and was out of action for a while.

On the other hand he's a s**t hot wicket keeper too, and just an all round good cricketer, like u said 'no nonsence' see ball, hit ball.
