Been talking to my Father In-law, who is on the committee of Thanet Buisness Network, and he said that Margate are negotiations with a new hotel chain, anyone heard anything?

Its all gone very quiet on this front. All whilst Maidstone's new ground is moving at pace and may I add, looks quite impressive. They have just started to lay the all weather pitch. Well worth a look http://www.maidstoneunited.co.uk/2012/04/gallagher-stadium-gallery-30-april/.

Any news on Hartsdown Park yet?

I suspect this will remain very quiet for a long time unfortunately.

Was'nt he news very simple-it ain't happening.

I do think Maidstone have been very sensibe and forward thinking by opting for a 3G synthetic pitch

(i reckon the FA will sanction cup gmes on artificial pitches within the next year)

Dont forget that Maidstone has a forward thinking Council who ensured that the club came back to the town whilst at the same time built a new shopping area (the size of Westwood Cross) in the town centre to ensure people spend their money in Maidstone rather than go to Bluewater whilst at the same time looked after the surrounding villages under their countrol. We on the other hand have 56 total wastes of space

some may wonder whether such a presumptuous post prompted a reaction, but i recognise that the timing of this evenings statement is purely coincidental !!
