Whispers from a Good Source.

I have watched this forum from afar and i am stunned at certain people and their obsession with budgets.

I think you would all be amazed at the level of success Camberley have had if the true budget figures ever came out.

Don't get me wrong, they do have a small budget covering travel expenses for the players, but If the league budget figures (honest figures, they never will) came out for all clubs then Camberley should be finishing mid table in this league.

I would have PB back at the drop of a hat but I think he is well settled as 1st team coach at Hampton.

I think it may end up being a surprise from left field. I think a lot of assumptions are made about CTFC that are maybe a little far fetched ;)

PB Hampton reserve team manager, but going to be Camberleys 1st team manager, is that promotion or the same level of management ?

I believe the referee and his assistants are the same level as CCL Premier so the level of football is assumed quite similar. What I can say is that technically football played, Surburban Premier A is far greater than that or certainly 90% of those teams in CCL Premier. Most players in say Hamptons ressies would walk straight into even the top 5 teams in CCL Prem, of course IMO

We played hamtpon ressies last year and only 1 or 2 would have got in Bedfonts sports 1st eleven so would have to disagree

I'm intrigued in the Dorking Wanderers story.

Whether or not they have done something wrong is not the point I am getting at.

If they haven't got what they were alleged to have, then of course they should only get the grade for step 6, but I'm interested in how a grading committee can move a grade down an extra point as some sort of punishment. Either a ground is of a certain standard or it isn't.

If I had a ground that was Step 6 standard and was told they were being relegated to step 7 I would be taking legal advice.

Ed there are several Clubs that play at Step 6 even though they don't currently have the grading for Step 6 (Grade G). Dorking Wanderers would have been one of them as couldn't have had Grade G without installing the lights which they only did recently.

If the rumours are true then there could be issues with the lights and/or stand that may still prevent them from obtaining Grade G.

The CCL have given Step 6 Clubs until the end of next season to obtain Grade G else they face the real possibility of relegation.

Well at least E&E hasn't got this problem eh Ed... ;) !

If Dorking Wanderers ground doesn't have the sufficient grading, its easy, leave their current ground and groundshare with (ie) Dorking FC or someone else, easy get out for promotion into CCL....... :P !!!

Not that easy NG. You cannot enter into a groundshare arrangement in order to obtain promotion or avoid relegation for the season just finishing. Therefore if the Sussex League are going to relegate them this season (as is the rumour), a new groundshare arrangement won't prevent it.
