R.I.P. CONNOR SAUNDERS.

Recommended Posts

A 19 year old youth footballer was beaten to death in Rottingdean by a 13 year old.

Connor had connections to Peacehaven & Telscombe FC.

This all happened in an area I know very well, just a few miles from Brighton.

What is this world coming too ?

When my kids were 13 they was only allowed out until 11pm on condition I knew exactly where they was going, and if myself or another responsible adult was going to pick them up afterwards, and I assumed that was the norm in those days. Oddly enough though, its now my kids generation that are the feral parents, so perhaps us oldies should accept our share of responsibility as well.

Not sure if smacking children is a sign of good parenting, as IMO it just sends out a message to impressionable youngsters that violence is somehow acceptable. To many one parent families, where children don't have a father figure to look up to, and learn decent values from is probably one reason feral kids exist, and lack of fear of authority is another. Building more prisons, and a harsher regime for the worst offenders would help in the short term, but the problems are certainly far deeper and complex than we really understand.

strict parenting doesnt just involve smacking -and very rarely is it needed - if you set the boundary of behaviour as early as possible

ive got 3 kids and can count on one hand the times i gave them a 'smack' - they knew their limits and still do

imo Mary Whitehouse wasnt far off the mark

Keeps - You may be a good Father, I don't disagree with that, but you're a so called pushy parent aren't you and that tends to get people's backs up

Eastside Urchin – I will no doubt get abuse from Keeps for that post but he likes to dish it out so can’t complain when it comes back at him, he got the shock of his life at Bridge Avenue didn’t he when Unc sent him away with a flea in his ear

Keeps - I don't think that it has ever been in dispute that you're a good Father but you just have an 'in yer face' appraoach to things that's all and you're like a bull in a china shop.

Mr Keeps, like yourself i consider myself a good father & i am very proud of my 6 children, but i owe alot to Mrs Bakayakadingdong, I am a big softy, whereas Mrs B lets rip when they play up. My 6 year old Banjo usually gets the brunt of this.

R.I.P Connor

Mr Keeps I can tetsifying to the power of Mrs Bakayakadingdong letting rip. Last Wednesday night when Mrs Godwinchukwuma, myself and our 8 children were at the Bakayaka's for an evening supper Mrs Bakayaka let rip and we all got the brunt of it but our youngest daughter Princess Cymbaline Diana had been bending down to pick up a dropped knife and took it full in the face.

We now keep our children in order by threatening a badly behaved one that they will sit next to Mrs Bakayakadingdong the next time we are there for a meal.

That's a lot of children you have, are you working to support them out of interest, I wouldn't like to think that you are on benefits

Mr Rhodes what an honour and pleasure to hear from you. Thank you for your concern about my children but I can assure you that we provide for them with our own labour which although hard at times running a convenience store in these days and ages they cannot complain of going hungry thank you for your enquiries. I have been reading on occasion that you have abandoned your children and their mother due to financial difficulties, I am sure this must be hard for you and you would be welcome at our church any time for support and prayer Mr Rhodes we never turn anyone away who is down on their fortunes, Can I ask is there another man now taking responsibilty for being a role model in your childrens lives as this is very important? Anyway I hope that he is a man of God and is giving them the necessary backing of the Lords Gospel.

While you are hear do you have any news on Mr Clements autographed ball that I have requested many many times of you? If it is a question of monies because of your situation please let me know.
