Meeting with League officials to see which league they can join.

They have over 200 members already and have a clean up weekend this week.

I remember the FA Cup tie there, winning 2-0 with a second goal scored by Ross Wall (a long overdue goal).

They were getting crowds of well over 200 most weeks at one stage a few seasons ago. For a club playing at two levels below Ryman 1, that is pretty good.

Saffron Walden have set up a new management team of Colin Wallington (Ex Maldon, Tiptreee and Burnham Ramblers) and Chris Smith (Ex-AFC Sudbury).

 

Have applied to re-join the league at step 6 (Hearing on June 7).
