Alan Davies

Recommended Posts

What do the fellow forum users think of Alan Davies' comment the other day about Liverpool not playing on the same day as the hillsborough tragedy.

Personally I think they should play on that day.Other clubs do.

The death threats etc he has received are ridiculous.

Im not allowed to say what I really think of this so called comedian as even global mods get censored on here!!! I think Mr Davies should concentrate on his own club (he's a gooner funnily enough) and let the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea just get on with it. Im sure (god forbid) that if anything that horrific happened to Gooner fans then he would be the first one to ask for it to be remembered and respected.....

Alan Davies the so-called comedian ???

I think the blokes a to$$er. Personally i can't seewhy Liverpool can't play on the same date, but what the feck has it got to do with him ?

I remember once watching a comedy documentary he presented & he slagged off Tommy Cooper big time. From that moment, i

haven't liked him. Unfunny c0ck !!!

Beth,if he supported tottenham then I bet your point of view would change.

He,as a football fan and human being, has a right to comment on anything whatsoever.

As for if anything happened to arsenal, maybe on the year anniversary after the event you wouldn't play on that date but why every year. It's 20 years now, time to move on,play games on that date and those that choose to remember can do in whatever way they choose to.

Just listen to the podcast from him to hear him....hillsborough is still fresh in people's minds as proved with all the media about justice for the victims and a fresh enquiry....Davies was just doing it for shock value and publicity...he has certainly got that...

Id still be equally ashamed of his comments if he was a yid by the way

He'll never work again in Liverpool. Perhaps he had a gig there he wanted to cancel.

With the Scousers its the way they want to pay their respects but couldn't they do it by celebrating the lost's lives and the good that has come out of the tragic event, not just all seater stadia which is a mixed blessing but all of the other health & safety now implemented by making it an event, holding the minutes silence/applause? Instead it all seems a bit negative and attention seeking in asking for the game to be moved.

Whatever you think about Alan Davies and why can't he say how he feels - it's not just a Liverpool subject but a football one, the people of Liverpool have longer memories than elephants.

Don't think much of the anti Arsenal sentiment MummyBunny but then I've seen it before from you on here. Bit of a chip on your shoulder eh?

I was pulling your leg MummyBunny. No malice from me :)

Comedians always feel that they can get away with anything, they call it pushing the boundaries, the envelope whatever but also at the end of the day they have to take responsibility for what they say as a human too. The subject isn't humorous so I "presume" he was speaking as a human being and could have tempered his comments appropriately. But then he wouldn't have got the attention.

Don't like calling your lot yids though, never have. Must be the jew in me lol.

I enjoy calling spurs fans filthy yids.

Not because I am anti Jewish but because they chose to call themselves the yid army, therefore leaving themselves open to ridicule from opposition fans.

My best mate who is an arsenal supporting Jew refers to the vermin as scummy yids.

Yeah, its always best to stick to the single syllable words EU. That Mel Gibson course we all chipped in for you to go on is paying dividends eh?

Unless its something about a downmarket football club that Rob doesn't like.

Even though he's a Gooner, he was well off the mark with those comments.
