A brief report from another Forum, surprisingly no mention of a certain Official:

Holmer Green won the basement battle with the only goal after 11mins

of an even and entertaining first half.

 

Second half a bit scrappy at times as the hosts held on for a vital 3 points

 

Impressed with the ground with the wooden stand and a decent sized covered

terraced area by the main entrance.

 

A game of football broke out at 3pm, Rhodes.

 

This carried on to about 4:45pm.

 

Unfortunately for you there were no problems to report.

A report on this thriller from another Forum:

 

SPARTAN SOUTH MIDLANDS LEAGUE DIVISION 2

HALE LEYS UNITED 3 TOTTERNHOE 4 Attendance-23 (fluid) Admission/Programme-not today Refreshments-tea/coffee from a room in the changing areas

 

On arrival at this multi-pitch complex in Aylesbury it was a case of what the **** am I doing here. 2 games in the Aylesbury League (?) were already in progress on pitches 3/4; pitch 2, the normal one for Hale Leys, was closer to the changing rooms (150 yards) and was roped off on 2 sides. The game itself was a feisty affair with the away side leading 4-1 with a quarter of an hour to go; the homesters pulled 2 goals back in a minute, but were unable to score an equalising goal; the game was spent in the good company of Wolves/Villa bigger hitters. Shame there were no Mars Bars on sale!!! Post refreshments were taken at the excellent Hop Pole in Aylesbury; Thanks to Villan for companydriving, despite his blatant attempt to write his car off on the A41 towards Aylesbury.

Hello Division 1

 

Used to enjoy going over to Colney Heath but all anyone seems to say about them now is what a dirty team they are!!?? When did that happen??

 

We have played Colney Heath 3 times this season and i just found them to be a dirty team in all 3 games but i think they are a good team because they play for each over and they seem to give 100% and play as a team. I liked their ground even though i dont know how it past the ground grading for the Premier Division. Also had a quick chat with Colney Heaths top goal scorer Ian Cooper and he seemed a nice guy.
