The title race is certainly not over yet, Royston have three tough games remaining, trips to Oxhey Jets and Aylesbury United along with a home game with Haringey Borough.

Dunstable Town have the easier run in (on paper) – Hillingdon Borough and Leverstock Green at home along with a trip to Hanwell Town.

Hanwell are a different team that started the season off. They played well against Royston last week and nearly scored an equalizer in the dying minutes of the game. Hillingdon too are not a team to take lightly. Oxhey Jets do have three finals to play out at the end of the season. Aylesbury and Haringey are indeed difficult games but confidence is going to be key.

I heard Wembley and Newport Pagnell have been accepted into the Prem for next season.

That's good, at who's expense though? And what div will Baldock go into?

I think I'm right in saying Baldock go into Div One as the HSC is same level as division two? But then rumours are Goffs Oak of HSC have applied to join ESL which would be a jump of 2 divisions? That doesn't seem right

Wembley will be a decent addition. They got some good sponsorship money from Budweiser and Terry Venables as an advisor. Wonder how many games he'll attend..

With Colney and Ampthill or hoddy coming up and Ware possibly coming down + NPT and Wembley also joining there's bound to be some movement between leagues but which teams is difficult to say

Stotfold tried for a number of seasons to get into the South Midlands League but were told unless a team wanted to move from SSMFL to UCL it wasn't viable until the league gave in last year making the Premier Division size 23 teams.

The FA ordered all step five leagues to be returned to a maximum of 22 teams for start of 2011/12 which is largely why when Chalfont St Peter were promoted no step 4 team was relegated.

If Wembley and Newport Pagnell were to be considered I am sure teams from the current Premier Division set up would have to move in the opposite direction. If Royston/Dunstable are promoted and no step 4 team relegated allowing one space for entry which could always go to an extra Division One team.

How about with Hoddy being so close to the Essex border they could take a promotion to the ESL to get the numbers there up....

Is it true the league have told some prem sides their facilities are not up to standard? Just something I've heard. Can't imagine teams being pleased if they are bumped for new clubs entering the league. Can two sides get promotion from SSML prem? Harefield finished level on points with Biggs Town few years back and didn't get promoted

Might be an idea. Fed up with the tinpot SSMFL if I'm honest.

It’s a good idea in principal but the problem is that Roger would be like a duck out of water in away boardrooms with uncouth barrow boy types of people

Not quite correct. The FA proposals for 2013-14 season which reduce the number of step 5 leagues to 12 shows both these 2 teams being allocated to what they call the London North West division along with the majority of current SSML Prem teams (Holmer are placed in what is currently the Hellenic and Haringey in the ESL).

Yes - all grounds without a current grade F have been inspected recently, but the clubs have until the end of March 2013 to get them up to standard, so no clubs should be relegated on ground grading at the end of this season.

Only one team can be promoted from the Prem to step 4.
