Town v Wabby

Can't believe the doom and glooming comments above.

Yes facts show 4pts from the last 12, it also shows 2 games unbeaten or 2 defeats in the last 16 league games, some of you supporters are showing up as having very thin skins and would recommend doctors and nurses to be made available if your gonna get through the drama of the play off's.

I only watched the first 45 mins yesterday and felt a 4-0 half time scoreline in our favour would not have flattered us. Just needed to be more ruthless in front of goal.

Ewang's sending off was silly. However, the challenge on Wallace looked like a penalty to me, it does'nt matter if the defender missed Wallces legs as he was running through, as no player should be looking to leap and jump out of wreckless challenges, Secondly, why was'nt the Wabbey player cautioned for grabbing Wallaces shirt while he was on the floor as if to say get up you cheat. Conclusion-a poorly dealt with situation by the ref and linesman. Sadly, Ewang's punishment will now be his absence in the Play Off's, thats football.

There are so many reasons for decisions on team selection's i.e Hope and Kendall as sub etc it could be Steve saving players for the Play Off's who knows, it could be players needing a kick up the rear if they are deedmed to be in comfort zone. We have so much to be positive about. We are likely to be home in the play off semi's and we are likely to finish in second place, with our best ever points tally and highest league finish in our history.

I'm buzzing with anticipation and expectation more so than my over enthusiastic boys, dunno where they get it from.

C'mon the Town and the Town Supporters.

The problem with your comment regarding performances over the season is that we are now at the end of the season, not the middle when we were playing well.

Apart from a gritty performance at Needham we have been poor for several games - and all at the wrong time in the season.

As the teams like Tilbury and Sudbury etc you need to go into the Playoffs "on a good run" and not on a poor run as we are.

"Most supporters" were screaming for Osie to be replaced yesterday as he miss-placed almost every pass and certainly did not even appear to try with an easy effort from Guns cross.

Why does Steve "refuse" to change the team around and inject some pace earlier that 10 - 15 mins from the end of a game ?Yesterday was crying out for a change at half time.

Why is our leading goal scorer on the bench and given a few minutes to make an impact ?

Why does Steve persist with Osie ?

Why did were we not capable of brining in some fresh faces prior to the transfer deadline ?

Why have we never tried to replace Jon Moore ?

I am afraid that coming 2nd means nothing unless the Manager and Team "lift" things, as recent performance levels won't see us promoted.

Be interested to have a view from others, which I am sure will be soon !!

OT-Your definately down for half a bottle of Vodka before games.

You have to trust the manager's team selection as do the players.

My view is that with Osei, Gunz, Hope, Walid and Tyler we have enough fire power whoever we play upfront to turn any team over.

We've lost Moore (ages ago) and now Ewang, we still have Hall, Pennant, Forward, Johnson, Hammett and the back four picks itself having only conceded 1 goal in 2 matches.

Some supporters were baffled at Osei's exclusion on Saturday and now want him replaced when selected, I'm sorry but thats supporters talk.

In my view the Manager knows exactly what he is doing and firstly thats starving me of any players for the reserves and concentrating solely on first team preperations for the play off's.

EU - Let's hope you are right and that I ( along with a few others ) am wrong.

I don't think are rights and wrongs cos if lucks against us there's nothing anyone can do.

I'd like to see who the supporters would pick in there starting X1 v's Cheshunt and I'd put a nice wager that the team will differ from supporter to supporter. It will differ from Steve's opinion, because he'll know first hand on any players with strains and pulls that need protecting as well as the form they have been in of late, no good picking someone who is on fire mid-season and off form now.

I would fancy us very strongly v's Needham, Tilbury, Sudbury With a well balanced Starting X1 in any play off tie. Gray's are so incosistent I'd fear the unexpected with them and class them as the dark horses, Redbridge are a beatable however very good attacking team who can get a result against anyone.

Play Off's=need a whole hearted performance + Lady luck, I have no doubt about the performance, we just need to be wearing the correct underpants for the big fixtures.

Lady Luck is the one player that nobody can pick.

The new range of Town anti squeeky bum pants will be available at the next home game.

Small, medium, large and extra large?

Going by some of our supporters nervous systems they'll have to come in a pack of disposibles so they can run into the toilets and change them every time the opposition get in our half or one of our players mis places a pass, could be record product sales if Arky plays it right.
