Town v Wabby

Four tough League games to go, starting at 3.00pm today.

Local derby games are normally hard matches, so lets get behind the team and help get the first 3 points in the run of 12 needed by the time we have played Grays in our last game.

Looks like it may be a bit wet, so lets have a packed in crowd behind the goals with plenty of support and noise.

The Players have said it makes a difference when there is good support, so lets get behind them today.

Come on you TOWNERS.

Look, I'VE done all I can. I've paid my admission, worn my lucky boxer shorts (blue and white, of course) and done my best to will the ball into the back of the opposition net. Apart from reducing my relatively quiet moans I'm not sure there's much more I can do! So, I guess it's down to the players and the management.

Ill-Discipline

Once again a Town player was sent off needlessly (I think back to Matata and Kirby at Potters Bar, Osei At The Dome). What was Ewang thinking? He disagrees with a decision or something said, so he runs 20yds to raise his hands and vigorously shove the Wabbey player to the floor. All about 2yds from the ref. I'd been led to believe that he's actually quite an intelligent lad. Well, he left a very good ref with absolutely no choice and condemned his team-mates to playing 45 minutes with 10 men.

Formation/Side

Am I the only supporter who thinks Steve doesn't know his best 11 or best formation? My view is that he got lucky last week against Needham. He's now lost momentum. Let's see if he can get lucky in the play-offs...

A really disappointing result but at least a big improvement on the Harlow game. That was just about as bad as we have got in a very long time. At least today we created plenty of chances. Only problem was that we squandered chances time and time again. What can you say about our sending off???!!! What a complete pillock!!

Ewang - complete idiot - he should be done / fined as much as allowed at this level.

Let himself, the Team, the Manager and the Supporters down BIG Time.

As for the last two home games - how the hell will we win a play-off game with this level of performance

Poor selection, poor effort and very very late substitutions, giving the players that came on, no chance.

Play-offs will be tough with this poor level of performance.

mmmm here we go again i am sure we are 2nd not 20th , now is the time to give the lads our support not to doubt and give credit to Leiston who if they win it will deservedly do so.

Sorry, but most supporters did support today, but the performance today and last week and the week before, were very poor and NOT Play-off winning performances. Yep, Needham was good - but lost out following today.

Confidence on and off the pitch looks low - which is not good news..

Confidence on and off the pitch looks low ?

Not sure about this one , looking at todays game three missed one on ones, two squandered close range headers, and were the better team playing 10 v 11 for 30 minutes. Our keeper didnt really have a save to make , on another day we would have won by 3 or 4. I thought a few of our lads worked their socks off playing a man short.

Hey ho football is all about opinions , so just expressing mine.

Im sure Steve , Jason Pete and the lads want it as much as us supporters , no one team has a divine right to beat another.

I get it now.

This is all part of Steve's Master Plan! Now, keep this one under your hats, but Steve recognised some time ago that Leiston are head and shoulders above everyone else in the league and therefore it would be a case of manoeuvring for position in the play-offs. So, we finish runners-up after a string of indifferent results against sides dredging the depths of RL1N. Then, like a phoenix from the flames we surprise our opponents by romping home in the play-offs in front of two sell-out crowds at the Donkey Dome - thereby earning more money to spend on next season's Ryman Premier promotion push!! Genius!

Let's be honest, today's performance was poor. Last week we lost to a good Harlow team. Today, we struggled against a mid table team and did not deserve three points and didn't look as though we would get any for a period of time.

Some people will say we should 'get behind the team' and 'let Steve choose the team', but there were a lot of disgruntled supporters watching today who all have their opinions and were not very happy.

What's this about a disagreement in the camp leaving Hope on the sidelines?

As for the sending off. Simply stupid.

Let's be realistic now & prepare for the play offs, which won't be easy, but which over the seasons performances we are well capable of winning.

Not been to the last couple of games so can't comment but is this recent poor run coinciding with Jey & other personnel tinkering?

Sure Steve will have his best 11 fit & ready for the maximum 3 games.

C'mon the Towners!!
