The Hosepipe Ban

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering how the hosepipe ban will effect SSML Club's for the remainder of this season, there's a thread on another Forum, I gather there is quite a bit of rain forecast for tomorrow which should see Club's through the next week or so:

With the majority of clubs left with just a couple of home games this season along with the fact that the majority have nothing left to play for this season then it shouldn't have any effect.

But obviously in Rhodes World it will be disasterous

Well it is a disaster. As i understand it we cannot apply any water through a hosepipe. So we have no option just to verti drain the pitch and maybe flatten the surface out. Anything else would be a waste of money.

The weather might suggest rain right now but who can seriously predict similiar during the summer.

I expect all the heavy rain we have had over the last two days will see Club's through now until the end of the season and into early May for the Cup Finals

I expect Reynolds Field will be like the Emirates for the Challenge Trophy Final on Tuesday evening

Has it actually stopped raining once since the Hosepipe Ban was put in place earlier this month yet there's no sign of it being lifted despite flood warnings all over the Country

Why would you want to use a hosepipe while everywhere's saturated? By the time that things have dried out, there still won't be enough water available. Do you think that the water providers have been catching the extra rainwater in buckets and saucepans?

So Rhodes could be useful.......

Don't leave him in charge of buying the buckets!

Bulletin folks, I gather that the hosepipe ban has today been lifted for 19 areas of the Country but not for the South East or for East Anglia as yet, watch this space

Wrong again....kn0b

Wonder if there's enough spare water to fill a bucket so Rhodes can play the hold your breath under water for 24hours game

Ref Off Ref - You have to say it was uncanny as it didn't stop raining once did it as soon as the hosepipe ban was imposed. So what are you up to today out of interest now the campaign is all over bar the South Midlands Reserve Floodlit Cup Final on Tuesday and the Anagram Records Feeder Leagues Trophy Final tomorrow week
