Any local groundhoppers that would like to take in another match after the scheduled 11.30am ko CCL matches are very welcome at Alwyns Lane.

GP has things going at Bedfont nowadays, everything in line for next season ?

Not yet as far as I know.

 

I finish up (after 19 years) in a few weeks time and can honestly say I have no idea if there will be a next season or not for the club.

 

Thanks but a shame to hear about you, its people like you who keep grass roots club/football alive ! GP thats what I heard about next season, but thought I'd get it definite from someone associated with Bedfont.......it will be a shame if Bedfont fold.

 

So whats needed for the club to survive GP ? Is it someone to front the money to pay for everything, as the social side is good, so has that changed as well ?

 

 

 

Have Feltham come up with a package to take the club over if Bedfont fold ?

I'll give you the definitive answers if we every meet NG, until then it will have to be a case of 'wait and see'.

 

I announced my intention to retire at the end of season in August and have given everything I have to the club in my final year, would be nice if it's around next season in case I fancy watching a game.

No not really NG. We were beaten by a bunch of thugs, simple as that. Their intention was obvious from minute 1. And after constant late challenges went unpunished, our keeper was assaulted from a corner by bedfont. He was unable to continue at half time so Brunty went in goal. We had 3 great chances to get back in the game but failed to convert. Don't get me wrong, I like a physical game but there are some very talented players in the bedfont team that have been brainwashed to foul and rough the opponents up. And to back up my claim, I had no option but to start myself in the reserve game last night and over heard their manager telling their players "if they get a chance, smash johnno". And this came from someone I considered a friend in football. Very disappointing so if they do fold next season, I couldn't give a rats ar$e!

JJ is this not sour grapes ? Altho' I do not condone the comments made which is similar to those said on a drunken Sunday morning team........... :o !!!

Sour grapes would have been me coming on here Monday night having a moan. We are safe which is what our target was. We have a bright future next season with an excellent sponsor on board. The future is better than others :-)
