You guys really take the biscuit, it would be nice to know some of your ages as your comments are unreal.

From what some of us heard yesterday the bloke who ran the forum was a bit of a dictator who ran the site to suit himself.

The club did not have the access they wanted or got news on the site when they wanted it. We also understand a new web site is part of a new sponsor package run BY the club. At least we have the blessing of an official club forum and it was the chairman who got everyone to post under their real names and e mail addresses. Maybe one day your forum will be as open as ours.

 

Saints Alive, if you don't like our views and opinions, bugger off back to your own forum!

As I started the thread I thought It was in everyone intrest after I got all the facts!

I've been trying to refrain from commenting but I wish to clarify a few things.

 

The website I designed was hand built by myself rather than using a content management system, meaning certain parts could only be updated by editing the HTML and uploading via FTP. The club were able to add news articles when they wanted as I had hand-coded an admin faciltiy which they made use of. Similarly they also had the ability to add & update matches and events via the same hand-coded facility.

 

I've no idea what the club have or will try to say with regards to my depature. Unfortunately it would seem from reading this thread that some wish to smear me. Maybe it's because they've been misinformed over some of the details or they don't know the full reasons as to why I resigned. I will however add that whilst the club did say they'd like me to still be involved as a volunteer at the club they did not offer me any position. I'd also like to add that I am co-operating in providing BluePrawn access to the current hosting so that they can take over, and having seen some of their sites I'm sure they'll design something good.
