St Neots

Recommended Posts

You couldn't make it up!

St Neots webmaster has thrown his toys out of the pram (cannot blame him) and scrapped their website as of now due to, I would assume, their wonderful Chairman deciding to use an outside source to design and run their website next season.

Personally I thought the St Neots website was one of the best I've seen in non league and feel really sorry for all the hard work and time their webmaster must have put in only to be Shat on from a great height by their Mr big b#llocks Chairman.

"St Neots Town FC have decided to use an external company to design and run the club's website for next season and I am no longer required as webmaster.

After consideration I feel I can no longer continue running the website in the interim until the club are ready to switch to the new website and have therefore reluctantly decided to cease involvement with immediate effect. I've always said to myself that if I no longer enjoyed running the website I'd leave, and in recent times I've felt less appreciation for my time and skills. So sadly after 10 years of running the club's website as an unpaid volunteer it's time for me to call it a day.

I'd like to apologise to the fans for the disruption this causes, though hopefully you'll understand my actions. Finally I'd take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of the site over the last 10 years.

Keith Moss,

Webmaster (March 2002 - 7th April 2012)"

As pasted on what was your old website - so it does look like we do know more than you!

One of the best you've seen? no way, it's horrible, plain and boring. just like any other team in our division it's crap and dull and no wonder the web master got sacked. Our website is very nice though, easy to move around and easily to the eye.

But well done St Neots chairmen, get rid of your current website, and get a new flashy one. The website is almost the first image of any club.

Maybe the chairman didn't want people to see what a complete fool he made of himself during his interview with Denis Greene after our win there, or what he said on their messageboard where he threatened to charge us £100 per view of their video highlights unless we stopped criticising him!

I can't say I blame him on either count.

My first image when I saw their web-site (not that I'm an expert like you Adil) was that it was excellent and professionally done.

Adil.. Your talking Sh#te, our website is/was one of the best about non league as Readingrebel stats.. He also may be correct in his assumption that we will have a new one done by our sponsor. I don't know that. Could be good business by our 'Sh#te' chairman maybe?.

But as a supporter we only found out about it at 2pm today before our game and from what I believe the old webmaster was invited on board but declined.. Hence him getting the [censored] about it and pulling his plug!

Burger... I think you'll find our forum is still up and running...It's the main clubs website thats not working.

Get your facts right before trying to be clever.!

Don Juan.. I agree with you that is a shame that an individual that has given up their own time to give St Neots a great website feels the way he does.. Who ever provides the new one has a lot to live up to

Is there any reason why Slough don't have their own forum as opposed to this one which is a section on the nonleague.co.uk site?

The club doesn't wish to have an official forum, this is an unofficial one instead.

This was the official forum until some of the club/management took umbridge about some of the supporters views regarding team play, criticisms of players and staff, and honest opinion, which just happens to be found on all football forums!

So halfway through this season,it became the unofficial forum, which is frankly daft IMO! but I suppose many of the fans views aren't representative of Slough Town FC as a whole,so many of us conformists and non-conformists alike, can understand that the club needs to distance itself from some of the controversial points of view aired on here and from some of the erudite, knowledgeable supporters, who don't happen to always toe the party-line but often know a lot more than they are given credit for!
