Colours

Hi All,

We are at the 'business end' of the season once again and once again we all hope that there is still some business to do before the Summer.

It is though, another chance to take stock of things and look to next season and building on this.

I have wondered though, what the general opinion is on the clubs' colours.

Obviously, being introduced to the club by my Dad when we played in solid blue shirts, white shorts and blue sock, I wonder what everyones opinion is on those colours.

I know that there have been incarnations of black & white, plain white and black & gold over the years but would general opinion be that blue is what we should be identified with?

If so, how do people feel about the changing nature of the blue?

I think the club should be looking to form some sort of identity with the blue and keep something stable to help that.

How did people feel about blue with white sleeves?

Are the hoops the way forward? Strpes?

Either way, I really think that there needs to be some sort of identity built and that can often start with the colours...

I have liked the hoops, its a strong identifiable strip, there aren't that many who use them compared to a plainer blue shirt.

You are right about the exploitation but I am hoping that this stays in the realms of away strips for the forseeable future and MFC can use the next few years to establish a recognisable identity that hopefully follows them up the ladder.

Personally I quite like the idea of introducing black shorts and socks to the blue and white hoops for a few reasons:

To re-introduce the black that was what the club first wore and wore during the war.

It looks awesome

No other club in the UK (that I know) wears this combination (back to my identity crisis)

To signify the death of Dreamland.
