Not a total shock I'd heard some troubling rumours have also heard some excellent candidates have already been in touch I don't think we will be short of applications. As any club we want some in place for 5,6 years you

can't do anything when the manager changes

every year or so. Syd, Chinola etc.. Are all

Steve - Yes and how could you commit to Winslow United anyway, it's miles from anywhere and most of your activities are in Hertfordshire, Essex and London aren't they

Thanks for the offer, but at the moment I'm trying to get my girly golf handicap down to something more manly ! ; - )

 

Yeh I will pass on that too..we played Winslow pre-season and if I had known how far away it was I wouldnt have organised it...not popular with the players for arranging that one. Nice set up though in fairness....but not geographically ideal :)

 

Would need to be a club 15 mins drive max for me to persuaded back...

True think we chatted a few months ago about that, however not sure what i'm doing next year yet. At the start of this season I was worried if we had even 11 players for the 1st game. And it's been touch and go throughout signing on players at the last minute on a Friday night. What really grates me is that sometime you think is it really worth it when you still get stick from certain quarters!!

Yeah its a thankless task at times, however our committee are incredibly supportive a lot of back room support.

No.game Saturday we had the.guard.of honour Tuesday night. Very good of risbourogh. Had a total blank with his name that's what a few beers does something.like Gurlumo I think.

Not sure how to spell it but that is him...he managed me at WGC....fitness freak...we used to do 300 sit ups every training session as well as a bleep test. The warm up before a game was like pre-season...i was f*cked before i started..not that i started many for him :)

Ex berko manager, as well I believe. Also lost his physio license for "unprofessional" behaviour.

 

Really What was that? So he's been around a bit. Don't know why I thought of him. Didn't he win a title with Aston after they finished bottom the season before?
