Hampton & Richmond 4 Slough 0

Good points tonite were - er, at least the youngsters in the stand behind the goal were having a laugh - glad i sat next to them than the moany old gits. Yes, we were hopeless but i thought Hampton were really strong and had a lot of last seasons Maidenheads premier division squad playing.

...and at least you lot didn't get off at the wrong station, have to get a last minute six quid taxi to the game, then get back about midnight to have a smiling flatmate tell me Lewes won 4-0.

oh well, see everyone at Tooting

You're more than welcome Brighton Rebel. Come and join us, come and join us, come and join us over here! It was just like Welling away all over again, but with a bit more voices joining in this time. We might have been well beaten on both occassions, but we had a laugh doing it. Just can't seem to get the same feeling at home games unfortunately. No cover behind the goals doesn't help. Maybe some of that £25,000 should have gone toward covers behind both the goals!

Fossie's first mistake? Croydon Athletic away, although he made some good saves to counter the fact I thought he should have saved the shot for their goal, the poor pass at Welling which gave them their third (or fourth) goal and last nights misjudgement of the bouncing shot.

He's still the best keeper we've had since Wilko mind, and I'm sure he'll recover to find his early season form.

Oh dear, what can I say.

Saw your performance, sorry appearance, last night.

Woeful sums it up. No pride, no passion, no commitment.

Yes Hampton looked fairly useful, as they should fielding essentially a side which finished in the Premier top 10 last season.

Slough gave them a massive help though. Penalty was a tad harsh but the keeper had a mare for 2nd and 3rd in my opinion. Our latest reject Michael Currie took the fourth well enough but your central defensive pairing need shooting behind the screens. The 'no-pace' twins desperately need a sweper behind them. Why can't your manager see that?

Please, oh please, I hope they both play in the B&B. Yaku will have a field day.

Felt disappointed for your fans who really travelled in numbers. Must have been a good 100 there which is a credit considering the lack of passion shown by most of your players last night. Shame there was absolutely no atmosphere though.

All the fans seem well that we lack pace at the back. At least with Barrowcliff playing at left back he would often nip around the back and cover the gaps from the through balls over the top. Howard and especially Daly & Gyoury are always going to struggle against well placed balls into the channels to pacy forwards. We've know that for a while, but it's never been addressed. Whilst you can't fault either's aerial ability, I think that both have very suspect distribution and the lack of real pace is there for all to see and is being picked on.

One other thing that really 'gets my goat' is the fact that with away games, is it possible for the fans to spread out any more? Try as we might to get any sort of mini atmosphere going and there's little clique groups scattered around. We're all there for the same reason, let's all get together and get behind the team as one. You never know, it might make the difference!

I had a feeling it was going to be a bad night, when the conversation for the first 15 min were about Gary & Emma's McDonalds. We were so bad that had i gone by car i would have left when the 4th went in. After this game i feel we will finish mid table, you can see why Daly and Gyoury did not move on in the summer they are geting money under false pretencese. To make any sort of improvment we need a good midfielder and two quick backs or we can kiss this season goodbye.

First blunder??? What about the stupid penalty given away against Marlow (we lost 1-2)& the Weetabix Goalie one at Croydon Athletic (we lost 0-1).

We haven't learned anything about Maidenhead or Devonshire tactics in the last 5 years have we. Keep it tight, use your strength, [***!!***] the ball long & use your pace - that's his recipe for getting out of this division. To our credit, we try and play passing football, but we are just not good enough - too old, too slow, some promising young players, but just nowhere near good enough.

It's painful to say it but it stared us in the face on Tuesday.

Jesus H Christ! There is me lying on my deathbed at pains at the fact I had to miss the first match in quite a while and then the boys go out and perform like a bunch of bushpigs. From the sounds of Liam's description of events, there was more drizzling $hit representing the amber and blue on the field on Tuesday night than there has been coming out of my derrier over the last 9 days. And beleive me, after the week I've had, that is an awful lot (apologies to all drainage workers and environmental groups who fight to save the rainforests, I think I've seen one off myself this week so expect a good year of breeding for Andrex puppies)

Anyway, back to the case in hand (I really can't say that anymore Martin <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />) after being without a match of any sort for a couple of weeks, to treat the travelling support to this kind of pathetic no show is unacceptable. The league table doesn't lie. Regardless of having a couple of games in hand we are in a dreadful league position and have lost too many games already. Sodding Windsor are up there giving the title a good crack which is what we should be doing.

Tooting on Saturday, shall be interesting to see how we do. I'll be back with plenty to get off my chest (note I didn't say to get out of my system, I don't think I can take anymore) and lots of BOOOOSHPIG shouting at the keeper to follow.
