wretched, woeful, awful, embarrassing, abysmal, spineless, poor, crap, absolutely f*****g shocking. Only Hodges and Howard can come out of that car wreck with any credit. We've been off for two weeks and the squad hasn't been strengthened nor have the problems that we've experienced so far this season. still being ripped apart tooeasily at the back, been outplayed in the middle. no killer final ball and no chance of scoring. ryman division 2 here we come

Liam has had a very good go at a summing up a game that has left me almost speechless. Truly awful.

We had one shot that hit the bar and the follow up went straight at blakey. Devonshire has once again taught us a lesson about building a football team that can get results at this level.

Too many of our players were anonymous and too many were just plain crap.

Hilariously, a hampton fan said to me in the bar at half time (with no hint of sarcasm) that he "thought slough were playing the better football." We were three nil down. Yeah we have got this game sorted.

No midfield, defence caught out for pace yet again (surprise, surprise) and the curse of Devonshire continues for Slough away from home. Poor performance, didn't want to shoot, didn't create anything. Thought the penalty was harsh as it looked to have been blocked by Wilko's legs, second one must have taken a bad bounce or something as I thought Fossie would have saved it, didn't quite see the third, and the fourth was a simple outpace the slow central defenders and slot past the keeper.

Looking at the bench, looked a bit stronger with Harris, Hyatt, Payne and Deaner all seemingly capable replacements for anyone on the pitch (Certainly on tonights showing) but beyond that, seems sparse. The lack of quality in midfield from both the starting eleven and replacements is what is missing. there is plenty of fight and battle (Barras, Steer & Wilko) but the lack of creativity and the failure to have replaced Veli or even someone even close to his calibre is what's missing. No one can pick the pass or burst past a few players through the middle.

Out of the FA Cup, the title is well beyond the current squad and setup, is the season over already? We'll be lucky to make top six if we cannot pull ourselves out of this rut.

Did hyatt even touch the ball when he came on? Although, it was far too late to make any difference.

I honestly cannot believe how bad it was today.

We wanted brownie out I just wish he hadn't taken so many players. With the exception of ricky browne I would have anyone he has taken.

Quite. Hampton were a decent side. No shame in losing at their place. But it would have been good if we turned up in the first place.

Not so much hit and hope as playing to their strenghts and utilising our weaknesses against us i.e. our lack of pace at the centre of the defence. eemed to work wonders for them as it always used to when Debo was manager of Maidenhead. I bet he must have rubbed his hands together with delight when he saw Gyoury and Daly as cwentre backs given his previous succcess of playing against them.

i can only hope that this is the bottom of the [***!!***]-o-meter and the team can play better, but as this was basically our first choice line up bar maybe two out through injuries, it's not looking too good. another thing, before deaner does his little feasability study into the new stadium, wouldn't a feasability study into why we s*ck so much be a little bit better???

The more i think about tonight, the less anything has changed. Whenever we get a free kick, its taken quickly--usually a long ball which misses its target. The quick free kick did work once---about 2 seasons ago, Dave Rainford scored from one--its now become a ritual for giving the ball away.

The quick free kick could be justified by our lacking anyone who can score from free kicks. Anyone apart from Hyatt, but he never starts, so is rarely around to take free kicks. I shouldn't blame Hyatt too much, at least he can shoot---half the others can't even pass---hate to say it but Welling apart, Barras has been very poor. We lack width, and with Gilkes gone, no one can set up the final ball. Our strikers play wide, as no one else is, so when the ball is crossed, there's no one on the end of it--if it isn't cleared quickly, we've got no one with a shot---and the circle starts again.

Top six looks a long way away---seems like for the fourth year on the trot we will finish the season in a lower position than we did the previous year--not a lot to look forward to.

Why not focus on the good things for a moment. I suspect that one or two of your players look at this message board and wander why they bothered. Imagine if you were at work and made a few mistakes, how would you feel if you were slaughtered on the company message board.

Please ignore the previous paragraph if our two teams should meet in the F.A. Trophy.

When will Alex Haddow take a cross, free-kick or corner that he doesn't hit too long? He did it half a dozen times at Croydon when well placed and again last night. You watch on Saturday - every single time he hits the ball the player at the back post is left with nothing more than stretching to keep it in, if he can get there at all.

JD, I don't think my company would have been happy with that performance and would rightfully be upset and voicing their concerns if I performed like that at work. As for taking positives from last night, that's a difficult one to be honest. We travelled in numbers, tried to get behind the team without having much to cheer about, and still went home disappointed.

Anthony Howard = What are you playing at!? Absolutely c**p! Daly caught out for pace and Fozzy letting in another Dolly, makes it one in nearly our last 5 games! The only two players to come out with any credit are Ian Hodges (Yet again!) and Alex Haddow, who both showed commitment and tried their nuts off. As for the following, fans showed commitment yet again, which is more than can be said for the players and coaching staff!!

Going down the drain........
