Guernsey do NOT get paid..

To all Guernsey fans, a bit of advice from someone who’s been there done it worn the t shirt whatever

 

Don’t get involved with chats on budgets on here, you won’t win, and I doubt you know what the playing budget is anyway, or you shouldn’t know

 

This is a similar scenario as AFC Wimbledon, and if you Guernsey want to be as successful as them, concentrate on football, not people speculating on budgets, calling you big time Charlie’s which will happen. Remember every team you play next season in the premier division, will be a cup final for them, and they will be giving 110%, and for you must match that every week, not now and then. This is when all your officials earn their money excuse the pun.

 

Likewise Dobo, you know the score, politely put......... ;)

 

Windsor has the same this season, and appear to have come up short.............will be very interesting next season with the likes of the usual suspects and Guernsey......am looking forward to it.

How do you know this? So despite public denials from GFC management, you are basically saying they ae lying?

If GFC are self sufficient as was said earlier, what does the £750k over 3 seasons from Sporting Bet go towards from the sponsorship side, as that would buy a hell of a lot of kit for one side??

 

As for the paying of players, as many have already said, who really cares? If a club can pay out and a player can pick it up, then fair play to those in a position to do so, but why the need to ask for justification on a forum (or anywhere else for that matter)?

 

I wouldn't tell you how much I earn in my work career, so why would I let you know what I, or anyone else, would be picking up from any other income?

EXACTLY Jurgs ! My point entirely, To start up a thread ''Guernsey do NOT get paid'' seems strange to me ;) !

 

I don't care what each individual players gets, if they get paid good luck to them.

Not as far as I am aware. Dont forget they are also registered to a local (Priaulx) club side too.

N.G. The Treasurer of the Club does the Finances,pays the bills,and gets receipts for any payments made,along with the auditor,who checks the books,at season end.The Manager,Manages,the Coach,Coaches,The Secretary,does all the paperwork and Communication relating to games,players etc.The Chairman is the overlord of the Committee,that should meet monthly,which many dont.Trouble is Football is a cash driven business at this level.Example,Officials are paid in Cash,what part is expenses,and what part is taxable,for Services rendered.Are Receipts obtained as they are Self Employed,and should tax be deducted at source.Likewise Players,Managers,

However, I think that unless anybody can demonstrate real evidence one way or another, this conversation should be closed, and comments of pure conjecture should be punishable by an evening with Nice Guy. :bolt:

Also I have it on good authority (from a friend who works at sporting bet) that they have more or less financed this season.....and will do again next year. There's nothing wrong with this and I'm sure any other club at this level would be more than happy to take this kind of sponsorship deal. Just think those GFC fans are blinkered when it comes down to the money side, it's nothing to do with jealousy (although how many clubs would be enviousoif this arrangement?!) its just stating facts.

 

Well, I had been asked by a representative from GFC to QUOTE THE FACTS on here!!..

As I said, NOBODY from Chairman to steward and all points in between is paid.

 

Oh, you have a friend at Sportingbet.. I have friends in lots of places and sometimes they talk total rot...people down the food chain in firms rarely know what is happening, they just think they do.

It's just stating FACTS.

 

But of course you all know better than those in the know don't you?

 

I'd like you to be able to prove your sweeping statements...lol....

He is someone who would know everything about budget, but hey, nobody cares about Guernsey anyway.

No need to be defensive Maisie about your beloved, I have said on many occasions that Guernsey are a breath of fresh air to the CCL ....they needed it :D
