TAKELEY V HARINGEY & WALTHAM DEVELOPMENT HIGHLIGHTS

I was at Station Road on Tuesday night and highlights of the game can be seen below along with team line-ups and a match report if you click on the link to the cold end.

 

Much has been posted on here over the past few weeks about the same old players playing for different teams and team's benchs having a go at the officials constantly.

 

My experience from Tuesday was thankfully not this at all.. Both sets of players just got on with the game (Takeley did have a little moan here and there) and played some decent football.

 

HAWD'S management just encouraged their team to pass and move throughout. They hardly ever went long ball at all.

 

I think, if Steve Castle adds to his squad over the summer, that Takeley will be challenging for the title next season. And HAWD look like they have some really promising young players coming through.

 

So, full marks to both sides for a decent game at a very friendly and welcoming good non-league ground.

 

It's not all that bad is it???
