London Colney fc promoted

Recommended Posts

In fairness, nothing is set in stone until the AGM. It's always a shame that in the SSMFL you don't know what you're playing for until weeks after the season is finished. With unresolved ground grading issues, coupled with uncertain futures for more than one Prem side, I wouldn't like to hazard a guess at the constitution for next season.

Well done to all at London Colney. Thoroughly deserved by the best team in Div 1 across the season.

Jonno, whilst i agree with you on the uncertain nature of our league and some of the decisions made at AGM the constitution of the league still says that subject to ground grading teams finishing 1st and 2nd in division 1 will be promoted London Colney have the required ground grading required for the premier division.

I totally agree, LC are up and rightly so.

Although it sounds like Cliff is praying for a doping failure!!!

Can you therefore confirm that you will be congratulating London Colney at the end of the season?

As Jonno rightly said nothing is set in stone until the AGM so we will see what happens on 16 June or 23 June whenever the SSML AGM will be held this year

RTFC – That’s the silliest post I’ve read on here for a long time, this is how a Hobbit is generally described:

In the prologue to The Lord of the Rings, Tolkien writes that Hobbits are between two and four feet tall, the average height being three feet six inches. They dress in bright colours, favouring yellow and green. Nowadays (according to Tolkien's fiction), they are usually very shy creatures, but are nevertheless capable of great courage and amazing feats under the proper circumstances. They are adept with slings and throwing stones. For the most part, they cannot grow beards, but a few of the race of Stoor can. Their feet are covered with curly hair (usually brown, as was the hair on their heads) with leathery soles, so most Hobbits hardly ever wear shoes. Hobbits can sometimes live for up to 130 years, although their average life expectancy is 100 years. The time at which a young Hobbit comes of age is 33, thus a fifty year old Hobbit would only be entering middle age.

i was generally getting to the fact that a hobbit is not the best looking of creatures! sorry if that was too intellectual for you

I thought we weren't supposed to get personal on the Forum

We also got our ground grading last sat , so all we need to do now is get promoted lol

Thats great, cracking ground I've always liked. I'll be wishing you the best and hope you get promoted a lot of hard work gone in , great set of lads/players/staff who deserve a crack at Prem and I think will do pretty well. No doubt a few more players will flock to the banner if you get there too.

So was this the basis for Tolkienton Manor?
