Great result for Tring, as could not see DTFC losing again this season with their fire power. Show's how much I know.

Tring 2 - 0 Dunstable

Royston 1 - 0 Hillingdon

Yesterdays result looks like it will have a MASSIVE impact on who will be crowned Champions. Although tough game for AFC and Royston Saturday. Going to be unbelievably tight this year!

Sad thing is that only one club can go up (and even that not guaranteed). There really should be the chance for both of the top two to go up.

I fully agree! Why maybe not even one?

There are a maximum of 12 places available at step 4, and 14 step 5 leagues. If they all had eligible clubs only the top 12 out of 14 on ppg would be promoted. Both Royston and Dunstable Town are near the top of the ppg table so I don't think you will have any problems.

See https://docs.google....J1QkdmeGc#gid=0 for the situation after Saturday's games.

Tuesday 27th March

DIVISION ONE

1-5 Sun Postal Sports v Kings Langley

A brief report on this one from another’s Forum:

SSML Div 1

Sun Postal Sports 1-5 Kings Langley

Admission (inc prog) £4

Att: 65

Tea: 50p

The suburbia suburbs derby. Despite taking the lead and working hard, bottom side Sun Postal were well beaten and in the end it was a case of the visiting forwards getting in each others way to take the gifts being given to them.

Couple of good finishes amongst the goals, a sharp turn and shot and a direct free kick and a couple of cringeworthy soft ones too.

Ground has a stand for 100 with small area of covered standing either side of the seats, the clubhouse has a large verandah, whilst the pitch is fully railed and has a proper paving stones all around it rather than concrete hard standing.

Tuesday 27th March

0-1 Hanwell Town v Stotfold

I see that Barnsley Dave from, another’s Forum, was at Reynolds Field again last night:

Hanwell 0 Stotfold 1 SSML

Admission £6 including programme

Attendance 50 (hc)

A scrappy game won by what seemed to be an own goal from the Hanwell 5 as he stumbled. Summed the game up really as both sides played a bit of decent passing football but most of the time it was hit and hope. 81 games and 349 goals now so still a way off my 100 games 400 goals target

oh dear i knew the way promotion worked at this level bad but i didnt know only 12 out of the 14 teams who finish first go up! Thats terrible!

Not all of them have the grading to do so anyway and some just don't want to take the promotion jump in costs at SL is pretty big
