aint like it used to be. 6-7 yrs ago would have spent half the evening on here shouting and spouting loads about todays game but not anymore . Shame !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think from a personal perspective from one who was at Lowestoft I have several issues about making comments on the forum

1) Not being very bright sometimes my humorous slant, on life gets high jacked by certain morons who should not be on the site!

2) I understand players/manager may read and I don't wish to demoralise or demotivate anyone, as I've said before i do not believe we ever don't put in our best, but is our best good enough?

3) Often my rants or views are very fickle like most Margate supporters, one moment "that player is a load of crap" the next he is "the greatest player in the world".

4) So using this forum as a sounding off board may in my humble opinion cause more damage that its worth!!!

Now Discuss.

A couple of seasons ago ,would be full of posts.

used to love reading peoples opinions onf the performance, and how we see things differently

All the sad 'ron managers' like me would even give playwer marks out of 10.

then a few suggested that was too upsetting and personal to the dear souls !!.

I gues its the same old thing-win more/crowds come/more vpost on forum etc

I would be surprised if the manager /players take it too seriously Mark,as long as its not offensive

Its only a bit of fun after all-intespersed with the occasional very valid point.

If players/managers do take it too seriuously-they have got a problem-it comes with the territory.

No different to the endless customer satisfaction surveys you get in hotels/restaurants etc etc.

I think the mind set of many is now all a bit 'end of season'.

(though with leatherhead winning sagain-not safe from relegation yet ).

Equally-i am sure the 'ground' set back has left many feeling all a bit flat.

You're right as far as I go Michael. Was putting up with bad results knowing that the stadium was almost upon us. Now thats gone & we have virtually nothing to play for on or off the pitch (though some might say we still do on both counts) I seem a little reluctant to want to make any comment. "Flat" is a good word to use Michael.

Having said that,as I can only manage home games,I might a comment or two once we return home again & I see performances in person but overall certainly the enthusiasm has disappeared for me for this season.

good set of comments on here so far . The trouble is freedom of speech went out the window so as some of you say things that are said are now x rated and removed . It was great when 10-15 of us kicked off about the match that day and how bad Jake Lebrel may have been but i always rated him as did plenty of others and how Phil Collins and Leon Braithwaite tore our opponants apart with the pace and size of them . Those were the days , something to look forard to after the game , we were all a family having a rant but all friends after . Wish they were back .

i say this every year -and get 'shot down' but it also shows the importance of cup games.

The season effectively ended this year as soon as we were out of FA CUP and Trophy.

its also why i rate the league cup and KSC cup -when others say they are meaningless-as it keeps up the interesr into the new year -and possibly beyond.

At non league level-any cup competition is vital-not so much because of the competition itself-but the 'knock-on effect' across the whole club.
