I'm surprised your goalie did not wear his borrowed shirt inside out though..

 

Seemed odd to me he had to change as no colour clash with the main team kits, I'm currently watching a game on TV where both goalies are in all lime green!

WHY O WHY,Did the C.C.L. not read Smudge's Hymn Book,and take over the Div 1 Trophy yesterday.A great publicity coup,but alas no one ever takes notice of dear old Smudge.You were all pre- warned in June last year,that it was Turkeys voting for Xmas.WELL DONE GUERNSEY!!!!!!!!BY THE WAY I KNOW FOOK ALL ABOUT FOOTBALL,BUT STILL IN THE LATER YEARS OF LIFE,COULD MAKE A BETTER JOB OF MANAGEMENT THAN MANY AT THIS LEVEL,WHO IS WILLING TO TAKE A CHANCE?

certainly at half time 7-1 didn't look like the likely result.

 

Bedfont battled well in the first half and at 1-1 looked well in the game. Though they didn't create a lot outside of some efforts from corners they did put good pressure on GFC from the front causing us to resort to a lot of long balls forward to the strikers which on the whole were dealt with well by the defence.

 

In the second half Bedfont never quite managed to control GFC and they were able to increase the lead and take charge of the game. Still some spirited stuff from Bedfont with plenty of comitted play but they didn't get it forward and manage to create much during the second half while Guernsey ploughed forward often.

 

Good game though, great atmosphere, look forward to a rematch next year!

 

 

I found it pretty odd at first by the way, seeing the subs hopping over the fence over my way to come stand with their supporters! Bounding back over every now and then!

 

Great support from the lads by the way...in the first half at least, some great voice from them when they got the equaliser and were well in the game. Can't blame them for being a bit quieter in the second!

i dont live in a bubble an as said we were in a game dont forget one cleared of line first half that goes in who knows but after the gk error on the third it knocked the wind out of us an whole team didnt react.

i got on after 25 roughly an i dont stop talking but the whole of the guernsey team talk where as we at bedfont do not which made it all the more difficult after the third goal. there a dance troupe all know where they should be an dont switch off for a second. they will be there or thereabouts next season trust me!!!

Did one of them lose a tooth and what happened to the one that was stretchered off, I didn't see him go down before hand?

 

Hope you enjoyed your time in Guernsey anyway, I see you got over on Friday afternoon so got plenty of time compared to others to spend on the Island looking at it's best in the lovely weather.

 

I was amused by the pic of your squad outside the airport on the back of our paper with some of the lads putting on fine poses somewhere between boy bands and members of So Solid Crew!

 

Most importantly...did any of you find the Cougar's you were after?!

cb has heavily bruised bone an rw has a inch gash which required stitches but were both out on the night! ;)

 

when we turned up to the ground we all had moustaches on if you know caroline that does the tickets she'll tell you ;)

did you not see us on the night out the guerns were trying to banter us after our loss but we as a squad sang loud back "were [****!!****] but were going up, were [****!!****] but were going up" they didnt know what to do lol

im sure a few islanders thought we werent wired up right especially when i shout grenade an the whole team hit the deck on numerous occasions through the night oh an of course our eagle pose after i shout " did anyone call for an eagle an whole team do the pose lol, an cougars hmmm no comment it was a great weekend an even if i dont go with the team next year i can assure you ill visit again

lol NM, sounds like a good night, I wasn't really on the town on Saturday though was around for a bit and heard abit of singing which may well have been from you lads!

 

Glad you enjoyed your trip despite the loss!

Did anyone call for an eagle?? im sure this is banter stolen from the hampton and richmond boys who say did anyone call for a swan???
