indeed,we need you to lose a game to have a chance of winning the league,so it would be silly to not keep an eye on your games,in fact we need you to drop at least 4 points which must include us beating you to stand a chance.We have our bogey side Horsham next,then margate at home on tuesday,should be 6 points for us but we never beat horsham and dont win at home on tuesdays.So until such time that the title is back in our hands (which could possibly be as early as saturday evening) Ricay and their results will be of upmost importance to the dwindling urchin faithful.

I did indeed have a wee smile on my face when aveley "apparantly" went 1-0 up although even then it was a tad too early to crack open the champers.

As for Hornchurch,we are our own worst enemies,i believe we are the best footballing side in this league but as good as we can be,we can be just as dreadful.At the moment Billericay seem to be the most consistent and a 7 point gap in 3 weeks time will i think give them the title,but 3 weeks is a long way off still,i just hope we are still in touch before our game against each other

Saturday is a massive day for all 3 clubs,could go a long way to working out who will stay in the title race,could even change the title race slightly,who knows,as i say,i just hope we are still in with a shout come bank holiday monday if not only to get a few quid in through the turnstiles

Yh, not being smug here, but tonight I would have to say we had half if not more of the gate. Most of there people were family or ex players.

Football web pages also reported hornchurch equalised against Hendon the other week in the last minute, only for it to be changed to 2-0 Hendon! My mood certainly changed then! My heart says that we keep our wining run going and can go into the hornchurch game knowing a win can all but seal the title, even better winning it at the place. However, my head says it will be a point or two between us going into that game.

 

I'd say we had 200 ricay fans there tonight, top effort.

Problem with football web pages is they rely 100% on supporters sending in updates - if they send in wrong info then they'll report it though not sure how it works when neither of the teams has a designated "info provider". Rest assured the Hornchurch info will be right as I send it in ! Just use the thread below to get latest info:

On the earlier post re Hendon/Hx both Hx and Hendon send in updates so I'm guessing Hendon may have sent it in wrong.

 

Re last night's game no-one expected Aveley to do us any favours and it didn't matter whether 'ricay won 1-0, 6-0 or 26-0 they only get 3 points. It wasn't likely goal difference would come into play anyway as ours was much inferior before last night. Next 3 games for us are crucial (next 2 for 'Ricay) .. there'll be more surprises yet. We didn't expect to lose 3 out the last 4 and I'm sure 'Ricay didn't expect to drop points to Horsham.
