Lammas take on Ashford Town in the first of 2 cup finals for them. Ashford Town Middx FC 7.30 K/O

hope you put out a stronger team/squad than on saturday. only 1 sub you looked very threadbare. i wonder what NG would say about the biggest LAMMAS squad. should beat towns reserves though.

Perhaps they were saving some players on saturday for Wednesday's final ??

i think its more the case the players dont want to be berated all game although there in two cup finals its a poor season for me old team league status is what its all about i hope next year they produce a team to get them outa the league they deserve to be in prem

''Constructive'' criticism should be acceptable to players, but continiously being berated, players will get annoyed, switch off so their attitude will change towards the management and the game itself.

 

This will get the club/team nowhere over a long season but far play Lammas are in 2 cup finals and if they win both its not a really bad season BUT would they give up these 2 cup finals for promotion to the CCL Prem....................I think so 'cos they ahve been on the brink for a few seasons, however this season can be classed as poor if they are being honest with the calibre of players they have or may not have anymore......... ;)

i really hope they win the cups an if im correct still have another semi left?? an i hope they push on from those wins into next season an push for promotion but they will need a revamp

No one deserves to be in the Prem Newby - You have to earn it which bedfont Sports certainly have this year

we earnt it winning this league two seasons on the trot whilst at lammas not since ashford town did it has that happened an have no doubt in my mind if wed have gone up we woulda been a descent prem side i would rather go up as a champion but will take what we at sports have done this year even if i missed playing most of it but for guernsey were the best side in the division an would of won it if they werent in it imo

i didnt play on saturday as i had work commitments. i think i was 1 of 5 who were unavaliable. I totally agree with the comments above, with the calibre of players that we have we should of got closer to the top 3 but as you say if we can win both cup finals it could save our season. I would trade all the cups for promotion any day of the week. Squad is thin now as Baxter, James, O'Connor are all done for the season. theres 70 goals missing just there. so for the rest of the season will be a fight to try and retain a respectable league position!!

looking at both sides cant see how they would challenge for top 3.

Redders, they must have scored a hell of a lot of cup goals, as according to Mitoo, those 3 only have 23 league goals between them (13, 8 and 2 respectively)!

well from what i remember gary was on 31, baxter hit 27 and jamie hit 8 = 66!! Well we have been in about 6 cups including Fa cup and vase. i could well be wrong!! My point being our 3 players that only really scored our goals. we miss them bad. I also think mitoo must be wrong because gary and baxter have scored alot more than 13 and 8 in the league. gary got 5 in 1 game!!
