I was at the Windsor v Cove game today and am so angered by the Referee today that I felt the need to come on here and vent…..my first ever post as well! Anyone who knows me knows I am not a ref basher and never hide our own inadequacies as a team behind that of a ref’s decision but this gentleman in the black is and never has been good enough.

Take nothing away from Windsor today they are a very good team with some very talented individuals but we were denied the right to fully test ourselves against them due to the referee issuing one of the worst, pointless and softest sendings off I have ever seen in football.

At the time it was all-square although Windsor were applying pressure and producing openings here and there. It was at this point the referee decided to start to issue the cards. Our centre half with no prior fouls in the game was first cautioned for a nothing foul slightly outside our box – nothing malicious, not dangerous, not high, not intentional just a run of the mill slightly clumsy tackle…the type you see all game long on and often not given. Card produced much to our annoyance as it was so soft. Our CB questioned it as any player would and then got on with his game. The ref was heard to say ‘the next foul you commit I am going to send you off’. Sure enough he did a minute later. A ball coming down from height bouncing around in our box and two players go over. From my viewpoint never ever a penalty, a coming together yet the ref decided to point to the spot. Without hesitation the ref ran over and produced a second yellow…for what…even if it was a foul (which their player later admitted he slipped) a coming together upon which one player ends up unintentionally bundled to the ground does not deserve a 2nd yellow. Cue madness from our players and dugout and a sending off for our manager.

From that point on (35minutes I think) the game stopped being a contest and everyone inside that ground was robbed of a good game of football…the players, the coaching staff and the paying fans. Windsor went on and played some good stuff, scored some good goals and deserve every accolade as they seem a good football bunch and play the game the right way and in the right manner. We pressed on and tried getting the ball on the deck but today was always going to be a challenge even with 11 men.

In regards to the referee I have seen him a number of years, I have never rated him and more so never liked his manner with players. He was a way of winding players up the wrong way. He waved away our protests and remonstrations and doubt he has given it a seconds reflection – which would answer why he has never progressed as a referee despite his fairly young years. If I have a bad game, I get dropped. I have repeated bad games I might find myself out of the squad and dropping down a level with a new club. I guess I must always catch this particular ref on a bad day as he always seems to be around.

Over to you Krooner ;)

Guernsey 7 Bookham 0

Ttis was one of the most impressive performances of the season from the Green Lions, but Bookham on the day did not play well at all. Their midfield was no where to be seen in the first half, they all seemed to be playing up front. Their was a massive gap between their defence and midfield.

A few Guernsey players rose to the occasion with so many of the regular starters playing in Alderney. Zico was superb but picked up a silly booking. Dom Heaume played well leading the line with Ross Allen missing.

Rhys Jordan made his full debut and impressed. Two late subs also showed the strength in depth with a great debut goal from Marc McGrath (scored 35 goals this season for local club St. Martins) scored a fantastic goal and Ryan Tippett showed his class too.

Yes, agreed Aupostie.

Not enough pressure in the second half unfortunately, but as with many of our recent home matches (Badshot Lea, Sandhurst, Cove, Molesey) the damage was done early and we had too much ground to make up.

Thought you lot looked fairly solid at the back too, and vastly improved on the team you had when we beat you 4-1 in October.

Yep also agree E&E Ed....looking much more solid than before, but that was mainly down to injuries & missing players, but on that day you deserved the win like ours yesterday. Yesterday you look good going forward but shaky at the back & not much confidence in the keeper & I think we could have done better by putting him under a bit more pressure

Popped down to Westfield to watch the local derby after seeing all tweets in the build up to the match.Home side clearly wanted it more and won every 50/50.Suprised at that as some of Knaphill tweets sayng they were coming to smash as Westfield dont like it physical.Men against boys first half.Ros Allen aside are their many better strikers in division one than an on-song Damian Panter? His first half performance was exceptional.Knaphill are a well drilled team and their organisation at the back probably stopped it being a rout yesterday. I think boasts about champions are a bit premature for next season and maybe some should concentrate on training more instead of being Twiiter legends.

Millers, although I agree the the second yellow was harsh it was always just a matter of time before Eagle picked up the first one.

He had been spoken to 3 or 4 times before getting booked by the referee (Ian Kitchen)

Popped along to Worcester Park 1-2 South Kilburn.

Have to say I had a very enjoyable day up to the Fabrice Muamba incident.

Thanks to Steve Holmes for making me welcome and well done to Darren Talbot on producing a colourful and informative programme.

Superb clubhouse with SIX TV screens no less!!!!

Pitch was in good nick following overnight rain.

And it was a decent game punctured with time wasting and play acting from the visiting side and a few gritty tackles from both sides.

SK fought hard for their three points where the two centre backs did well, especially the younger one in a bandana.

Keeper was huge for the visitors in more ways than one but he did well. The toe punted goal kicks took me back a few years.

Couple of very tricky midfielders and a MASSIVE target man up top.

Worcester Park are not a bad side at all. When they could get it down and play they looked very useful.

I thought the Glaswegian ref, Steve Smith, handled the game very well. The away team manager moaned about 9 or 10 minutes of stoppage time being added but there was a lot of time wasting including one ball punted onto the station!

I have heard of some issues earlier in the season re SK but they were fine apart from the above. I am certain they will do better next season and, if we play them, I'll be bringing a stepladder to mark the big guys.

Thanks to WPFC for a really good day out!

Was good to go back to Sandhurst yesterday. Have to agree about the ref......... has to be the worst ever! Very smug in making decisions and was more concerned in matching undershorts and players swearing instead of controlling the game.

mal316 your wrong he had spoken to the other centre half in the cove side not Liam Eagle, and what about the foul on the cove number 7 with a bad tackle and the cove 7 got the free kick and then was booked for it amazing the ref was awful and seemed like he wanted to help Windsor as far as I'm am concerned, specially when mentioning his friends from Windsor were coming to watch, then to top that the assessor gave him the thumps up at half time it was disgraceful refereeing, and as far as I'm concerned the assessor have not a clue just like the referees in this league so how can they assess them.
