It's a desecration of a public amenity to want to put an all weather football pitch in Hartsdown Park, despite the area being used for Hockey and Cricket in a past life; but it's o.k. by them to turn a Tennis Court into an overflow car park for the community centre.

Sorry if this sounds like Sarcasm.

"Thanet is open for Business" Say's the council. What Business? "DEMOLITION" by the look of it. Dreamland, Richborough, Cliftonville, The town centres and know doing everything they can for political reasons to put obstacles in the way of the airport expansion.

I hear the Councillor who as jumped from Con to Labour then, the Independent group as know quit them and along with a colleague started a knew "independent" party. Perhaps there is hope at last "BUT", as he got the "BALLS" to do the job or is he just another busted bag of wind..

What you have to remember is that Councillors are just ordinary people who through one route or another have found themselves in the position of having to make decisions for which they may not be very well equipped. Fear of making a wrong decision often leads to a policy of non-decision making in the hope that it goes away and Bingo it works.Shame really.

I fully understand what BD is saying but given the fact that you have to put yourself up for election, and in my view you should have an understanding of the position you seek, I respectfully think that the words "found themselves" should be replaced by "put themselves".

Ordinary people who just find themselves in a position to pick up an average payment of £10700 per year PLUS expenses doing a secondary part time job being our so called representatives.

God knows what their what their household accounts are like based on what they are doing to the Council budget.....oh wait they get the average wage for this area out of ratepayers so they are laughing (sadly at us!!!)

If their actions justified any publically funded payment then i might respect them but the list of inept, incompetent and one wonders corrupt decisions does not allow me to do so

As you know I'm not one for statistic.....

On the TDC website it gives details on how many people voted for each councillor...More worrying is that

only 42% turnout. Which means 58% did not bother showing up for voting. Could this have made a difference???

I'm not sure as i said before there should be no political parties at local levels.

Perhaps one step forward would be make voting compulsory, If you don't vote fine everyone £1000, after all there are so many ways to vote these days, and these lazy Ba*****s who cannot be bothered to go and vote should be penalised. Yes I know you could argue some people have the right NOT to vote, so just simply make an option on the ballot paper "I Choose not to vote" so that it is made clear it has been a persons express wish, not just a can't be bothered. As an add on if the "I Choose not to vote", outnumber the councillors then perhaps none of them should be eligible to get in!!!

My manifesto will be published soon!!!!
