The last time Cliff was banned from here for an extended period of time, this forum was like a ghost town.

 

Like it or not, he stimulates debate and keeps threads moving. I reckon without him everyone's total posts would be 50% less than they are now.

 

For me, he's a keeper, as long as the mods their job when required.

P.S we already have an award winning prog so I dont think there is a job for Cliff at Hoddy. Although he did do a stellar job at Kentish Town a couple of years ago, photocopying our prog and crowbarring the pages into his so perhaps we can make him chief of stapling??

P.S we already have an award winning prog so I dont think there is a job for Cliff at Hoddy. Although he did do a stellar job at Kentish Town a couple of years ago, photocopying our prog and crowbarring the pages into his so perhaps we can make him chief of stapling??

Hahahahah nice one. it'd be your funeral though. Glad to see you enjoying the season I played against some excellent Hoddy sides was thinking the other night it might have been NF in a cup game at ours years ago that kicked me all game.

I've had cross words with Cliff before but these days I just take it for the mischievous stirring that it is.

Jonno – That was about that fiver for Charity wasn’t it which I felt you went a bit over the top about, I’m not usually in favour of giving money to Charity as some, if not all, of it usually gets creamed off and ends up in someone’s pocket

WB, would only have played against Winslow (firsts) for Hoddy in the 2007 / 2008 season. Was my first season back after cruciate op so probably took it easy on you. Didn't play loads of first team footie and took the ressie player of the year that season.

No my last full season was 2000/1 wafter which I retired at ripe old age of 20. Was someone that looked like you in pic, I reckon it was 98 I was only young got taught a lesson that night

Maybe it was me... that was my first season at Hoddesdon first time around.

I think Cliffy is quite entertaining, certainly don't think he should be banned. Clearly some people get a laugh from his posts and to be fair they shouldn't mind the responses he gets, give and take isn't it. People also clearly get a bit up themselves and claim to be above it all and still get their licks in so proving themselves hypocrites and non entities in their own right. Its not as if any of this matters in the real world is it?

I scored the only time we got near your goal. First one I remember was instead of holding the ball I turned straight into you and flattened one of our midfielders came over and said "that's what happens if you do that! Just hold the f/cking ball!" remember it vividly

Monkeymonkey8 – Not at all, I couldn’t care a less if anyone bites, I’m just trying to get a valid point across that’s all. Incidentally are you still in touch with Paul Tompkins, how is he doing at Berkhamsted Reserves these days.
