Sorry to all those bored of Guernsey!

Recommended Posts

Rather than starting a new thread thought I'd gate crash this one, this really goes out to the younger generation of players?

On a non footballing front players who have been and stayed, what's the nightlife like in guernsey/talent?

Is it cheap to get there, accommodation and are the bars and clubs good?

Considering a little road trip, so if any players or fans on here have tasted guernsey nightlife let me no please thanks

Very good article which sums up the Guernsey pride and spirit very well.

PaGey87 - The nightlife in Guernsey is very good, lots of pubs in a very small space ! some next door to each other !.

Clubs - we have 3 -

'Follies' the more upmarket one, music is mainstream pop.

'Rogues' tends to attract a younger crowd and the music is up to date dance.

'Barbados' attracts people of all ages and the music is a mixture of old and new

Talent - Plenty !

You can get some excellent value air/ sea and hotel packages and it is often cheaper than booking separately.

These two are good.

For football trips I would always advise booking through Travel Solutions because of the match cancellation insurance.

Thanks for this info Maisie cos I imagine I will be visiting your Island on quite a few occasions next season.....can't wait, altho' Footes Lane has a running track, I want to enhance the atmosphere the spectators bring, which must be similar to the likes of The Spectrum and The Arena.............lol !

GD, not part of the younger crowd...long since changed name to FUSION!

The nightlife is reasonable, we certainly don't lack pubs and you should find at least a couple that you'd happily spend some time in!

If CLUBBING is what you're after then Guernsey isn't the place, Fusion get occasional big name DJ's but apart from that it's pretty low grade stuff.

Pubs are open till 12:45, clubs till 2 (or maybe 2:30!).

I think you are thinking of Sark, where men are men, and sheep are ....nervous. :saythat:

Quite so, but highly contagious and easily transferable from island to island.

Hence, I heard the Guernsey Senate have even considerered BAAnning fleeses completely !

I went to Sark once. By the time I'd got up the hill I was knackered. And then they wanted to try and get me on a bicycle!

Lovely area though, looking forward to the trip next season, hopefully in one of the warmer months.
