FA Cup 4th qual round draw

Away to Mangotsfield - it is NE of Bristol, they play in the Doc Marten's League Western Division, in which they are currently 7th. I guess we will be favourites to win (after a replay maybe) - but I think we were in that situation last year when we played at Slough...

with the conf teams in it has to be a great chance to make the first round proper.. as john says it could have been exeter away..!! ill be more than happy with a draw against what will be spirited opposition.. they will be massivly up for it, they have never made the first round

The game has been moved to Sunday on the advice of the police.

Hmm can't they handle a few hundred Canvey fans?

Oh well just make it a FA Cup double header. Perhaps watch Hornchurch or Grays on the Saturday and then Canvey on the Sunday.

Hey if the draw is still made on a Saturday night then at least we'll be in it!

Glad to see I'm not the only one who has his suspicions!

Surely if they were worried about any crowd 'trouble' it would be switched to a neutral venue rather than a different day...Ashton Gate Merv?

I mean our Southend game was only switch cause both Clubs Chairmen wanted to reap the profits. I didn't think you was allowed to change dates or locations of games unless you had a REALLY good excuse...I mean reason...Surely Hereford, The Robins and The Pirates aren't all at home on the same day?

You can expect a big contingent of Bristol Rovers fans to turn up for this one as Mangotsfield is an area of Bristol that supports The Gas. Had the game been on the Saturday many of the die-hards would have been at Oxford for the league game.

It does mean that the Memorial Stadium would be available on the Saturday, just in case Mangotsfield are expecting several thousand in the crowd!

Must say, should any club that can't cope with 100 Canvey fans and a handful of home fans be in the competition anyway?
