To be fair to Spencer, the action that has caused the points deduction appears to have been made prior to his arrival - he had no control over the issue.

Agreed on point 1 - just wanted to highlight it wasn't necessarily "What Spencer had been up to". On the 2nd point, possibly to do with whether the proposed new owners would keep Spencer as manager - but more likely because any sensible new owners would want to take their time doing due diligence - so much creeps out of the woodwork down there as has been shown in the past
