Apart from the obvious (result) we really didnt do our selfs justice in that our play was too many times cut out by them and our balls forward were too many times intercepted by an easy tap forward leading to the opposing team being on the attack. It looked like we were gifting them far too many times and if we can get over the fact that Kwesi is no longer with us than maybe they might move forward - midtable obscurity Ill take it now and hope that next season we can push on..

We are having a problem filling the void left by the departure of Kwesi. At the moment our choices in attack are Robinson/Burchall/Murphy who are all playing a wide role with only a sorely out-of-form Tom Bradbrook who will play in the centre - but because of his lack of form & confidence he's not starting. My solution would be to think slightly out of the box.

 

I'd suggest a shuffle whereby we exchange either Richard Avery or Craig Cloke to lead the attack, moving Curtis into the vacant spot in midfield or defence - to my mind Curtis in attack is a bit of a fish out of water. Both Avery and Cloke have a bit of experience and a physical presence so they would be intimidating in the penalty box, they also 'know where the goal is'. If we were to introduce Bradbrook from the bench in the second half, they might help him inject some confidence into his game and when that happens they can revert to their normal role.

Your implying that the players give a crap as to what we the supporters think...... sorry to implode your illusion but I am yet to see the team show any reaction to defeat and come back stronger because of being beaten by a better team. Prove me wrong fellas.......... PLEASE..

On a more positive note, best atmosphere we've had for a while, plenty of new additions to the choir, many of whom are new to non league football and have most certainly caught the bug!

Just to add to bakers post, choir were awesome and the new members was quality!

 

As for the game, 3 weeks since kwesi has left and it will prob take time to find the right balance up top.

 

Brad brook will be an option with either burchill or Curtis up to with him.

 

Burchill was great but let down by finishing but then again hasn't played that many first team games from my knowledge!

 

It's a test for the team to start again and regain form, a good midtable finish is a possibility and certain position to end up in.

Whilst there is no denying that SO had a really bad day at the office-a week ago, the report at either kingstonian or Etu said he made some great saves.

Unfortunately coincided with the Bury keeper having a really good day.

 

Peter-i thought Bradbrook did really well-and looked sharp to me-interesting how we all see things differently

i agree with curtis looking like a fish out of water-in his 15 mins. some great flick ons-but does'nt really look like a bona fide striker-not his fault-and rate him highly-but not as a sole striker.

 

That given-at leatherhead-where both curtis and Brabrook played together-i was amazed how they plated so well together
