In the past we have heard of big budgets at Biggleswade again no one was ever sure of the figures quoted, again wildly differing figures were banded around,

Bicknell has been quite open that some players are paid money and that he has had to go out and get sponsorship to support that. To be honest if he is doing that as Ampthill can't financially support that, it just shows some initiative that has been successful.

 

Budgets are always the biggest topic of myth in all non league football and to a certain extent lower league football. It's normally bullshit and posturing.

There are 3 players at my club who get some money and 1 gets help with petrol but I go out and fund this not the club . But I have made it quite clear that next season I won't be paying one penny out its down to the club and I will stick to my word
