ETFC Youth

Enfield United

Recommended Posts

Just an insight for those who are unaware.

ETFC youth fought through to the last 8 of the Ryman Youth Cup tonight with a 2-0 win away to Ashford Town (kent), goals from young Jamie and Mason. We also saw a debut for Aaron Cato's younger cousin Jeryl Cato.

This leaves our U18's as current clear favourites to win the EJA Sunday League, in the last 8 of the league cup, last 8 Ryman cup and already finalists in the Middlesex Cup (being played in 2 weeks) as well as playing a huge part in helping the Reserves into the Capital League Cup Final.

I think it's fair to say we are attracting the best/better of the local young talent to the club which should continue with the attraction of our own stadium, established and steady management.

Although all this is commendable, I'd still swap it all for Ryman Prem Footy next season.

Keep you all updated at the business end of the season.

ETFC U18s are nowin two finals, we know about the Middx cup to be played next week at Harefield United FC, we are now also in the Eastern Junior League Cup Final as well following a 2-0 win at Berkhampstead on Sunday. We are still awaiting the Ryman Youth Cup quatre final draw, bit of luck we'll be at home as all our games have been away so far.

Oh well ETFC Youth's U18 Ryman Cup Quatre Final has been unkind again, as we are drawn away yet again, thats the 3rd tie in a row now, to Thamesmead Town, nice trip if you enjoy visiting the Thames Barrier and Belmarsh Prison. The tie will be played on the 15th of march for a place in the Ryman Youth Cup (Lucas Fettes) Semi's.

The U18s success story marches on. Our youngsters won through to the Lucas Fettes Cup Semi-Finals with a 4-2 Penalties victory away to Thamesmead Town U18s last night after a stalemate (0-0) in normal time and ET.

Well done to Barry, John and Pat. Now wishing you a home draw for a change.

Our youth team also face Brentwood in the League Cup final in a couple of weeks, so a good benchmark for what they are gonna face then as well.

Brentwod are also in the final of the Essex Cup and top of their section of the Eastern Junior Alliance.

Saying that our boys have already won the the Middx Cup and are top of our EJA League too.

Neither team have yet to concede a goal in this cup run that has given our boys an away draw in each round which includes Ashford (Kent), Thamesmead, Staines and Maidstone United.

Wishing our boys the best of luck.
