Burchell,Murphy and Bodkin all in the same starting line up.

Thats an interesting and i guess lively combination.

How specifically diid theyline up-what formation?

Did CK play with two strikers-or cram the midfield and just one up front as i would advocate ?

Or maybe he was feeling bold and played 4-3-3 ?

One assumes that Corneille is unfortunately injured ?

Up the 'Gate

Well, the good news is that we looked much more threatening than the last few games and arguably should have had three or four goals. The new-look forward line worked...apart from the important matter of putting the ball in the net! Two bad misses by Murphy, and Curtis squandered a one-one-one. At 1-0 we really needed a second goal to secure the points as we don't look capable of clean sheets at the moment and so it proved. I thought SO should have done better with the second goal.

Liked the pace and it made a change to see players anticipating and moving on to the flick ons won by robinson of which there were many. The constant changing of wings for Murphy and Burchell was also good to see.Wondered at effectiveness of Bodkin and Stubbs in the middle but actually when bodkin had the ball to his feet he was the one player who looked like he had a little extra time.It also helps to know that there was always an option wide on either side.Stubbs chased everything and Avery was effective a little deeper.Thought defence looked solid and ca only assume for second goal , Overland was unsighted at first as came through a crowd and he went down late. After saturday it was good to see chances being created if not taken.Robinson had a fine game but sadly showed his defensive origins when failing on the one on one.A lesson on taking chances but overall performance much improved.we still need a goal scorer but players should take a lot of credit for the performance.
