User WALLYD cannot get into the fans forum.

 

He has had the problem for a day now, and the message keeps on coming up (both in Internet Explorer and in Firefox) 'server not found'.

 

We have tried clearing out the history pages and this has not worked.

 

Do you have any suggestions please?

Seems this is a BT broadband DNS issue.

 

Set your DNS server to Google's at 8.8.8.8 and it will work until this is resolved.

Finisterre - I will have to explain this to WALLYD and I cannot quite understand what he will have to do - can you elaborate please?

 

I am not too sure what you mean by DNS server nor how to set it at 8.8.8.8

Thanks - I spoke to WallyD and I think he intends to let BT sort it out for him, as he dos not feel confident enough to reset to 8.8.8.8

i couldn't access this site via my lap top yesterday (dongle with 3) but could get on it with my i phone ok

 

on another issue,i have recently bought a camera and download the pictures on jpeg but i can't seem to post them on here,how do i do it??

You should be able to attach them to posts - if using the standard reply, click on 'More Reply Option's to see the ability attach images.

 

The once attached add them to the post.

 

Or as Kimble said, use an external host and link using the image button above the post box (middle)

Ian - this still does not explain why some people cannot access the forum.

I think it may well be largely resolved now as the correct details have re-propagated.

 

I have no control over the powers to be at BT or any other ISP, sorry.
