A great shame as I thought we were just starting to see the best of him over the last few months, but you can't blame him for going. Good kick to him.

Very disappointed that Martin has left at this stage of the season. Again, I feel we are being let down, first by Seeby and now Martin.

 

Have to agree with CR, yes we have cover but 2 quality players have now left at a crucial stage of the season. Could be the difference between winning the league or getting into the play-offs.

 

Didn't think Adam Martin's first few games[this season] were anything to write home about but in some of our latter games he's been our best player ie Burnham match.

Very disappointing to lose a player of his quality but hey-ho that's football. Him going, gives others a chance to prove their value or not,as the case maybe! If necessary, I'm sure Steve B, won't be afraid to add another midfielder, if needs be.

 

I hope Lloyd Owusu,though, does join us for our run in. His experience would be a huge boost for our squad.

Has anyone seen Lloyd play recently? Not having seen him play for years,I wondered what his main attributes are now.

Obviously his size in the penalty area would be an asset but I don't suppose he's anything like the pacy forward he once was.

 

Even without Adam Martin and Chris Seeby,I still think we have a good squad to choose from and am looking forward to watching us in action against AFC Hayes tomorrow. Having Simon Sweeney and Danny Murphy back,is also excellent timing and makes our team look far stronger.

I seem to remember some people slating Chennels for showing a lack of ambition and signing for Windsor over offers from us and Chesham. You can't have it both ways. We all know that footballers careers are very short and if they are offered an attractive package from clubs higher up the pyramid or those that feature in Champions League qualifiers who can blame them for going. I would certainly welcome them both back in a Slough shirt if it didn't work out. Be interesting to see who SB brings in to cover the midfield though.
