Playoff dates

I'm planning on going to my first ever Slough game and I'm going to try to make it either the final game of the season (if Slough win the league) or the playoffs. Are the playoff dates for this season confirmed? Hopefully this isn't too premature considering Northwood are 16 points behind...

Don't be so pessimistic Windsor Rebel, I still think you'll pick up enough points with the games you have left you make it into the play offs this season :D

Edit - on a serious note, get involved asap otherwise you'll only regret not going to watch sooner.

The league is St Newts to lose and has been before a ball was kicked. It's a testimony to how well we've done that it's February and they haven't overtaken us yet......but they will. We'll be in the playoffs but going into them in a strong position as opposed to previous seasons where we've done it in fifth place. There's no shame in finishing behind a team that's paid out on the players St Newts have.

Dont worry Sue, all will be OK, Manimal is worried already!

Worried what your pitch may be like for you come 2nd May :D

would be worried about you own pitch maximal, after Dennis greene's stunt the other week

Nothing to worry about there, if it wasn't for Dennis' and a few hardcore fans hard work over the weekend we wouldn't have had a game last night either. He goes beyond the duty of Manager and you cant knock him for that.

I think the league will go down to the last few games before it's decided. I would be happy finishing second and going via the play offs.

I cant comment on what St Neots have paid out because I haven't seen any figures,

Kay,has this been confirmed.I can't find this on the Southern League website.I have a family wedding on Sat.5th May, & the thought of missing the rebels in the final after supporting them for 38 years will be hard to take.Hoping that it is on the Monday, unless we win the league outright of course.

Talk about pessimistic,Ian!

No one knows for sure what is going to happen unless of course, you're God!

I believe we have the best chance this year, out of the three years we've been trying. As long as we don't freeze in the big games to come ie St Neots,Bedworth,Sycob etc like we did against the speedy, fast on the break, Bedworth side. Our team/squad is good enough to be champions and with some pride, spirit and mettle we can beat anyone in this league.

Come on you,Rebels!

Not being pessimistic, just realistic! St Newts will be under achieving if they don't walk away with the title given the nature of players in their team and the infrastructure they have. We've done brilliantly considering we're without a home and playing on a cabbage patch.

Semi Finals Wed 2nd May

Final Mon 7th May

Thanks. Any reason for the final being on a Monday instead of a Saturday?
