Lots of misinformation, smoke and mirrors here.

NF is right in saying that as a club, we feel there are certain clubs who have been allowed into the prem without having the neccesary ground requirements, as set out by both the FA and the League. However, the league have a ton of previous on this issue so Im not holding my breath. Dont ask me to name names as I am not going to bad mouth any SSMFL on here (we have a resident troll already thanks!!)

The point of writing to the league was to let them know that we wish to be considered for promotion whether we finish 1st or last (ok, maybe not last, thats ridiculous, but maybe in the top 4 or 5).

And yes, this is a yearly thing which brings great joy to many, especially at the AGM, when all the other clubs who are too downtrodden and under thumb of the league committee, get the chance to laugh at our chairman for having the balls to poin out the leagues failings when it comes to implementing their own rules.

We DO NOT believe we have a divine right to play Premier League football. Nothing would please me more than to see us obtain automatic promotion. We DO believe that time and time again the SSMFL make allowances for clubs, to the detriment of those clubs that tow the line and make the neccesary improvements to their ground.

Put simply, if you dont ask, you dont get.

I'd love to say we are going to finish second anyway but Im sure Mr Bicknell would have something to say about that!!! :)

This is an annual event. For some reason, Hoddesdon Town believe that they belong in the Premier Division regardless of their finishing position in Div 1.

Horace, thats grossly untrue Im afraid....

I reckon they just look at who finishes first and second. The ground grading has already taken place before the season has finished, so you know the score already.

Good sport when Roger stands up and speaks. Seems he turns most people off rather that gets support from other clubs.

Jonno - you're the good guy at Lowfield and I'm sorry to have upset you!

But surely, by writing each year asking to be placed in the Premier Division implies what I said?

Very kind of you to say Horace, so thanks.

But for me it only implies that we are unhappy, as other clubs should be, with the number of clubs who constantly have a blind eye turned to the fact that their ground isn't up to the standards set out by the league itself. As I said, I'm not naming names, we've all been to enough SSMFL grounds in our time.

Jonno, you can have second spot mate only if we can have top....we'd have to try and reel Colney in somehow tho

I propose a smear campaign......accusations of drug taking, playing ringers and poor post match sandwiches.

A 20 point deduction should suffice......:)

Jonno makes some very valid comments regarding teams that are playing inthe premier division regarding ground grading ,we all are made aware of the requirements, some clubs do everything they can to achieve the required standard and some do not or only do parts of the work required and some clubs have been promoted without doing the required work and some have not, the precedent was set a few years ago when hatfield finished third and got promoted at the expense of kings langley, he is also quite correct that some teams inthe premier division do not comply either because there ground is not up to standard required or the terms of some teams that groundshare are not as they should be, i think the point the hoddesdon chairman makes every year just draws attention to the fact that some of the ssml league officals are inconsisent inthe way they implement the rules.

Soon, the FA will make the decision for the SSMFL. As they are doing with Step 5, it's going to trickle down to the lower steps.

I'm of the opinion that if your ground isn't upto standard, down the level you go.

Makes perfect sense to me, let's hope the SSML get their house in order when the FA restructuring goes ahead

Mr Clifford, please come to Hoddesdon Town for the Ampthill game. I am intent on being there myself & I am ,looking forward to meeting my new forum friends. I get the train from Hackney Downs to Broxbourne & will be there to cheer on Ampthill & not the letter writers of Hoddesdon.

I like Jonno, he sound honest & he look mighty cool with his sunglasses.

Ground inspections are being carried out for the level 5 reorg. We have to put in one more ladies toilet otherwise we passed. Would be interested to know what other clubs have to do?

Mr Olafobi or as I will call you by your real name Joseph Shahili Kamuzu you are a dog without a father as many here will find out when they visit Hoddesdon that you always take out your traffic wardens ticketbook with you. Beware leaving your car to his advances good people!

It is I who have dismasked you Mr Joseph and my nationality is beyound the questions of such a dog. Please give my good wishes to Mr Johnno who is a man of high quality like my good friend Mr Rhodes, both being unbroken by their challanges of the hairpieces but united in the love of Clement Temile the hero of the Super Eagles!

Unfortunately I won't be at Lowfield on Tuesday to see you all. I'll be at St Mags watching our reserves play their first team....
