Team of the Month Criteria

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know the leagues thinking behind “Team of The Month”, and what are the influencing factors aside the obvious?

For example DTFC won it for January even though they drew a game and my team AFC managed a 100% league record for January. However, DTFC had a great result by beating Arlesley Town in the Senior Cup, so presumably games other than the league come into the equation?

AFC did also get Team of the Month for December, so that may have also worked against them, so share the joy and all that (but not with our major ground share rivals for [****!!****] sake!). :)

I assume that a pin always helps to decide the winner each month

You mean use of the pin to prick someone up the bum influences the way people think about you.

Whatever takes your fancy, but it's not for me I'm afraid Rhodes'y.

I'm talking about sticking a pin into the listing of all SSML Club's to choose the winner each month, presumably that's how it works

What I know is that they look at the league form table for the month and take into consideration who they played against and also cup games.

Logical I s'pose Mr T, but seems harsh on a team who can do no better than to win all their games.

I see that Haringey Borough won Team of the Month for February, one award in a season was previously unheard of but two is surely Alice in Wonderland stuff:

BOROUGH WIN FEBRUARY TEAM OF THE MONTH AWARD

Borough have won the PREMIER DIVISION TEAM OF THE MONTH award for FEBRUARY.

Only 3 months after their similar honour in November.

The award will most likely be presented by the League President, Brian Smith, and a representative of the League Sponsors, Molten Sports, at the home game on 17th March

In a month where many games were lost to the weather Borough had a 100% record in the three that survived with a goal difference of 14 - 2

The problem is that you post so much bile and crap that nobody ever believes you are being genuine.

So I expect to see you at the Challenge Trophy final

Is the Pope Catholic. I expect you're hoping to be allocated a Final but it won't be this one due to your close allegiance to Haringey Borough
