As i prefer us when we play football, i'd rather the game called off to preserve the pitch.

 

I know a lot of you will probably dissagree because you miss your footie.

 

Not sure it would do us any favours playing on a bog.

do we need ground staff to help prevnt these problems arising such as water logge or frozen pitches

Lol that comment will go down well!!

As a non league club,we can't afford sheets,under soil heating etc etc

 

When it snows the best thing to do is to leave it a) till it thaws naturally or B) to remove it the day of the game or before,only problem is,with Tuesday games it's difficult because people work.Some was cleared Saturday but unlike league clubs who have machines or hundreds of fans to call on,we do not.Saturday was too early to clear in my opinion,simply because many reports said that we were to get more heavy snow Saturday/Sunday which in the end didn't materialise,in a way you are damned if you do and damned if you don't,if you clear snow too early the pitch then freezes back over and if you leave it,it gets waterlogged when it thaws.Personally,unless you can get 50 people down at the ground 5/6 hours before kick off or the day before then you ain't got much of a chance
