I have just seen on someones facebook status that there is a pitch inspection at 3pm,is this correct?

I think there is one but didn't know it was 3.

The pitch at the mo is more suited to ducks....

Kel has just advised that the state of the pitch is 'not good'. There will be a pitch inspection but at present he is not sure when. Signs are not hopeful.

Colin has advised that the Ref is expected around 2pm today to conduct a pitch inspection.

No we are playing Kingstonian next Monday.

Kerry says inspection is at 1. Likely to be off, I'm afraid. Hastings is March 6, Carshalton probably March 13 but to be confirmed. Also note that (weather permitting) the Cap League Cup semi against Ebbsfleet is now this Thursday.

As i prefer us when we play football, i'd rather the game called off to preserve the pitch.

 

I know a lot of you will probably dissagree because you miss your footie.

As a non league club,we can't afford sheets,under soil heating etc etc

 

When it snows the best thing to do is to leave it a) till it thaws naturally or to remove it the day of the game or before,only problem is,with Tuesday games it's difficult because people work.Some was cleared Saturday but unlike league clubs who have machines or hundreds of fans to call on,we do not.Saturday was too early to clear in my opinion,simply because many reports said that we were to get more heavy snow Saturday/Sunday which in the end didn't materialise,in a way you are damned if you do and damned if you don't,if you clear snow too early the pitch then freezes back over and if you leave it,it gets waterlogged when it thaws.Personally,unless you can get 50 people down at the ground 5/6 hours before kick off or the day before then you ain't got much of a chance

I think while we are playing catch up this is only going to hinder our chances of winning the league.

Dont agree,if we had a couple more games postponed then maybe.But 2 games behind isn't a problem.We have 3 games on Tuesday's now till the end of the season,that's normal in all honesty.Just need to start winning on Tuesday nights
