Saints 0 Kingstonian 1

Recommended Posts

Not too sure what to say about this one but here goes anyway. New keeper Shane Gore played well, defence was Gledhill, Brown, Seeby, Murray, midfield Williams, Oakes, Wraight, Reynolds, up front Martin and Tomlinson.

Saints were probably ahead on points at halftime, Williams looked sharp but Reynolds looks out of his league to me (both physically and metaphorically) and Martin and Tomlinson are clearly not speaking to each other.

Glynn, Deacon and McDonnell came on in the second half and things improved slightly but Keys hardly had to make a worthwhile save in the K's goal. At the other end a lot of offsides and some bad misses kept the score to 0-0.

A last minute winner gave the K's the points but a draw would have been fair. Two sides with some quality strikers on show but little in the way of goalmouth excitement.

Saints need to decide on a shape and stick with it, some of the midfield are still not pulling their weight and it shows. Deacon and Glynn are the way forward with hopefully a fit Smith on the left flank, Williams on the right.

London Colney on Tuesday night, ooh, maybe a few goals for a change?
