Staines Lammas v Ash Utd res in the semi-final of the Surrey Premier Cup is ON tonight, kick-off 7.45pm at Ashford Town fc

 

AU I wonder how many 1st teamers Ash will be playing tonight. I would have thought it maybe a good idea to play as many as possible who are legible to play.....or not ???

 

Can't play any as you have to have played more reserve than first team games to be able to play

 

Ht 0-0

As of this morning, most of the snow on Meadowbank had melted, BUT it now resembles a lake. The gulls are having a field-day !

 

Luckily, no matches scheduled until Saturday, when Bookham are down to play. Might be a touch boggy, if the match goes ahead.

Congratulations to Staines & wish them all the best in the final.

 

A tight game with Staines having plenty of the ball but very wasteful in front of goal. first half goalless with Staines going the closest with a cracking drive from the edge off the area which smacked against the crossbar. 2nd half Staines opened the scoring with a free header at the far post, then began to take control of the game & it got worse for Ash when another silly tackle saw our midfielder get his 2nd card of the game & was dismissed. Staines then wrapped it up with a second with less than ten minutes to go.

 

Thought both sides with a different ref could easily have had less players on the park after some stupid & silly tackles went in.

DEFINITELY is a rather dangerous word to use, Chris.

 

As the primary school teacher asked her class, "I want you to construct a sentence with the word DEFINITELY in it"

 

Little Johhny raises his hand and asks, "Scuse me Miss, but are f@rts lumpy ?"

 

"No - Of course they arent !!"

 

"In that case I've DEFINITELY sh1t myself !!"

the situation was "hopeless" on Monday John but we are good to go tonight!

Tough game for us though!
